The cabinet on this t2 looks ok but the floor was replaced and they didn't do a great job. The latch to hold the backbox up is broken off with a chunk of wood missing and the white board in the backbox is toast. Im not sure where to look for cabinets. I don't want to spend a ton of money but don't mind spending a little. I could find another cabinet and sand it down but I'm not sure if decals or stencels are available. The other option is to find a decent t2 cabinet somewhere. Going with the first option I would have to find a t2 whiteboard or make one.hat might not be easy. I'm looking for suggestions and sources. Prices would be nice also. Thanks guys.

You could have an experienced restorer repair your current cab.

You could find another T2 and make one great game and one player's game.

You could buy a whole new cab:

What about the light board in the backbox? Are those available anywhere?

Can't you get a piece of melamine whiteboard and use your toasted one as a template to create a new one?

You just make those.

Clamp your old one on top of a same thickness sheet of Melamine and rout it out with a plunge router and a Piloted Template Bit. You want a bit with the bearing on the top of the cutter.

Or, just use a piece of MDF the correct size and paint it white.

I repaint the inserts on games I restore. It's not tough at all, take a socket the right size to bridge the front of the socket, and carefully tap them all out. Clean the light board with your favorite cleaner, sand the back to get the dirt off of it, then mask the back and spraypaint it.

Wash the harness, let it dry, reassemble.
