What are leaf switches made of, copper or brass?

    First I'd have to ask, why? The only important parts of the switch are the contacts and the soldered connection. EMs and high voltage switches of SS pins the contacts are tungsten. Low voltage on SS games the contacts are gold plated. Leaves are copper plated.

    Not sure about chemical cleaning, but polishing gold contacts too much could burn through the plating causing more harm than good.
