Okay, so I'm in Florida at Disney's Saratoga Springs currently, and happened to look on ebay and there was a Black Hole for a fair price....in Kissimmee...and I'm driving my truck. Sooo
I shoot over there and he has a PacMan arcade game for sale too for the fair price of $350. I load both. I've been looking for a Pacman for a few months, as I too, have been bitten by the vid bug. There is just something so cool and iconic about these games, to be working still, playing them- instant time machine for me, and the art is awesome.

Anyways, I have a full load and I went to the theme park connection warehouse to poke around at the disney prop stuff. I've been there a few times over the years and always noticed they had an original Centipede with a dopey $950 price on it. The owner notices my truck and says ''hey, interested in the Centipede for cheap?''................
"'How cheap?'' I said.
$300
$200 I said, but we settled at $225. I tetris this in the back of the truck. I'm FULL/DONE/SCREW DOWN THE MAN HOLE COVER.

I need to go to Walmart tomorrow for a tarp and a couple more straps, this should be an interesting ride home in about 10 days LOL!

My list now includes:
Original Pacman
Original Ms Pac Man (have to pickup from a friend back home)
Original Centipede
Gunsmoke conversion in a pacman cab (looks slick)
Big Buck Hunter 2
Mario Bros dedicated
A 60-1 I'm working on, but may convert this to a Final Fight (yeah, I think I'm going to, Final Fight is bad ass)

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

The only arcade games it really makes sense to own are the ones with unique controls that just aren't fun to play on your home computer or even MAME cab.
I used to Own Spy Hunter and Star Wars vector and miss both of them. Great games. But like all arcade videos you'd get sick of them after just one or two games. Would like to have Star Wars again, always been my favorite arcade video.

This is what one might think. I dabbled in it 5-6 years ago and got out. I got back in and plan to stay in. I find that much like pinball, there is no substitute for the real deal. I actually have to stop myself from playing pacman, centipede, donkey kong, mario bros, etc, because I'm likely to get addicted and can't stop playng.
Sure, I can mame or CPU, but none of that takes me back like a time machine, I really like the feel of the original old school games, there is a lot of history there! Think back to when you were in the 80's, I'm sure there are some long forgotten moments and memories, and much time has passed... but to walk up to an original Galaga or Centipede that's still playing? It was here then and it's still here now. Really fun stuff.

Just sold my Super Punchout to buy an Eight Ball Deluxe, I'll play the EBD until the cows come home, Punchout only so often, so win win.

Have dedicated:
Centipede
Defender
Joust
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong 3
Popeye
Golden Tee 2004
Stand up 60-1

That's about it.
