Quoted from popeboy:

Not to derail this thread, but reading this reminded me I've been wanting to ask the community...
Let me preface this by saying I know that it's considered blasphemy by the arcade purists, but I have a 60 in 1 in an upright Commando cabinet and was thinking of changing it out to a 412 in 1 card.
Has anyone done this? Is it fairly straightforward following the pinouts?
I find myself playing it less and less with the games on the 60 card. I feel spoiled by all the great pinball guides Vid (and others) have created, but haven't found a tutorial on this type of project while scanning the web.

It took you longer to type that post then it would to swap out the multi boards.

I'll take a picture when I get home. Yeah it's a 6 slot MVS.

You have a 'tall boy ' 4 slot cabinet. Did someone swap in a 6 slot motherboard?

If you're ever 4 hours west, I can probably fix the monitor if it's a 25k7000. I also have the correct marquee plexiglass for that cab (used with small cracks) if you are looking to convert it back to stock.

Quoted from Mrbill:

Maybe because that looks like a home made gauntlet with a 25” monitor. Normally gauntlet had a 19” monitor. That alone add about 50 lbs. plus your cab is larger to accommodate the bigger monitor, so that would probably add another 50 lbs.
Looks like someone did a decent job making it.

Different countries had different cabs for certain games than what we see in the US. I'm not a gauntlet expert, but its possible thats a factory euro cab for gauntlet.

Quoted from Mrbill:

no dedicated 2 player. but you can find it as a kit. or you could swap the 4 player wide panel with a 2 player one off like blitz or mk2. I dont think you can play 2 vs the computer.. You would only be able to play against someone.

It looks to be a dip switch adjustable to 2 players. I don't know if you are stuck as opponents, teammates, or if it you can choose at the start screen.

Quoted from Mrbill:

tmnt is a 4 player game. you could play it as a 2 player but you cant select the other 2 characters. same with 4 player xmen. you might want to consider buying a generic 4 player cabinet.
as for a price, the tmnt pcb alone sells in the $500+ range(it used to be closer to $800).. a full dedicated cabinet would be in the $3k range.. maybe you could repurpose a cab locally and dress it up for less than $1k. should be about the same with xmen..

If you throw a 4 player game into a two player cabinet you cannot choose which character you play as. There are '2 player roms' available for those games that allow you to choose your character at the start screen.
