Looks like Ferrari f355 challenge racing sim, cool game!!

F355 Challenge Deluxe

Moved it yesterday. right now it is in the garage. Buddy and I are going to break it down to fit it through my sliding glass door.

Right now 2 monitors are lcd. One is crt and is out but the board that drives it works. Need to convert that to an lcd.
Paddle shifters work, but the mechanism is worn out and needs to be replaced. There was a clear plastic cover over one of the lights that flew off while on the highway so will need to replace it. Most likely build it.

What I need to find is someone who has more experience with this. The test menu says there is a lockout on the transmission. Guessing it is supposed to force you to use the clutch, but right now it does not do anything. Also need to clean, regrease, and adjust all the controls, but that will happen down the road. In the meantime it plays and after I fix the monitor will focus on finishing pinball magic and soccer kings.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

I saw that for sale. Would be cool to own, but a PIA to move. Nice score. Price was nice on it.

Moving was not too bad. 3 to load, 2 of us unloaded it. I spent 2 hours tearing the rear half down today. It is stripped to fit through my 32 inch door.

Game has all sorts of liquids spilled on it. Will take a lot longer to put it back together just to clean it up. After pulling the shifter I think the lockout mechanism was removed entirely so could be a pita to find. Will certainly be neat when done.

Not on here much anymore because I have shifted focus to collect a few arcades. Just got this going tonight, still doing work to them, but they are playable. Also waiting for shipment of a pair of Initial D 4's. Will eventually convert them to a newer version such as 8.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Damn that's a monster, how much does that thing weigh.

1200lbs each. I have a walk in basement, but had to disassemble the entire game to get it in the basement. Believe it or not moved the second by myself from the front right side of my house, garage, to the back left, basement. Was an interesting way to meet my neighbors.

The second pic is one of the two coming. 635lbs each. Will also have to take apart to get them in the basement. Frankly, having more fun with the arcades than the pins these days. Pins have become too expensive. One of my radicals would pay for both of my initial d's plus the shipping. Would even have change left over. The f355's I have 1k in one and 1200 in the other. They are worth quite a bit more, but frankly it is much easier to find deals on arcades than pins. Lot less cut throat.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

WOW those are nuts. For a driving game I would like to get one of those 3 screen driving simulators. You can pick up a nice one for 3-5k and they have a small foot print. They aren't a game so you can drive a track for hours if ya want.

The big ones are a driving simulator, realistic and tough as nails. However you only get one choice of car, 5 tracks, and you can do either a 3-4 minute game or a 10-15 minute. Part of why I got the second one was because it is too hard to race against the ai. Hoping to get two of the single screen versions to give me 4 seats. Also have figured out how to convert the game to the international edition with more tracks, but I need a new rom programmer and a hot air station to convert the cartridges. I have searched for a year and not found the international edition for sale as it was never sold in the us.

Anyone here ever look at their vids and decide to sell out? Mine are all driving games and a pita to move. I've posted my pair of F355 Challenge Deluxe's mostly because pins are so easy to bring in and out. Games this large are such a permanent staple which I cannot seem to commit to.

What's the good word on that radical in the backyard?

That it likes where it is and wishes people would stop asking about it.

Quoted from herbertbsharp:

'tis the curse of all Radicals

You aren't kidding. I get pinged all the time about it and Turbo Drive. Turbo Drive people want cheap. Radical I just won't sell it as a project. Anymore though if anyone asks about buying something I tend to just say no anyways because they always want it for less than going rate.

Quoted from pinmister:

I am looking for some arcade machines but I have drawn a line in the sand in terms of what I am willing to pay(I gave up). Some of these machines remind me of the housing market, where they have doubled in value in just the last five years. It may be wishful thinking but I would like a nice $3500 Zeke's Peak delivered to Denver, a nice $3000 Wacko delivered to Denver, and a nice $1000 Super Sprint delivered to Denver. Anyone want to hook a brother up-pm me.

Good luck getting a zekes peak delivered for that. I'd like one as well but they sell for that without shipping. Heck ice made icbs pull 3200

Quoted from pinmister:

Like I said-"It may be wishful thinking".
Had one lined up last year for $3500 and the deal fell through. Really don't want to spend $4000 plus $500 shipping on one. I may just try and find a decent ICB, it seems like you can still find those for a decent price. I have completely given up on Wacko, and also gave up on $6000 Star Wars cockpits. You have to draw a line in the sand at some point.

Sorry man, but don't really have any sympathy here. It comes across as, I know these are worth more, but sell me things at a discount. If you want a deal scour fb,cl, etc like the rest of us. Sitting around asking someone to give up hundreds of dollars is kinda messed up.
