I wish I had room for that too! Except then I'd fill that room with pins instead.

Police trainer is amazing. One of my favorites.

Quoted from ZNET:

The arcade games currently in my gameroom are all electromechanicals. They are as follows:
1) Kasco Ninja Gun (late 1970s). One minute, unlimited shots, to kill ninja warriors, including holographic ninjas during daylight and at sunset.
2) Sega Gun Fight (1969/70). Mannequin gunfighter puppets and cactus collapse when shot.
3) Sega Monster Gun (1972). I have 2 Youtube videos posted of this fun nylon pellet projectile shooter game. Only two examples of this game are known to exist. Here's a link:
» YouTube video
4) Keeney Deluxe Texas Leaguer (1940s)
5) Chicago Coin Basketball Champ (1947). For sale, by the way. I have the cabinet stencils.
6) Genco Two Player "Super" Basketball (1954)

heres my little arcade:

#406 9 years ago

I have one I made myself. Screen is 21" 4x3 and rotates so all games play in the correct aspect. The sound is very good with a 10" sub. Plays everything from Space Invaders to Dragons Lair has a spinner for Tempest and Arkanoid. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

#407 9 years ago

Does anyone own a time traveler? That game is so awesome and weird.

#408 9 years ago

I loved the arcade game APB: All Points Bulletin.
Are these easy to find and what $$$ do they usually go for?

Thanks, I wanted something unique but kinda classic. I had lots of help getting it done and paid for it all most completely with beer and favours. It's painted with automotive paint using the original color codes from VW. I could never sell it.

Amazing. My wife love VW buses (huge hippy). I showed her yours and she was like, "can we make one?" Haha. I wish I had your and your friends' talents. Well done sir.

There is going to be one at the MGC this year too. I think it's already sold, but yeah - it's amazing technology. Not amazing gameplay, unfortunately.

You guys who own arcade machines have a ton of contacts in the world of vids/coin operated games. Maybe someone could help me out. I have a badly routed/beat up Pump It Up dance game that is in bad need of new decals. Not just on the platforms but in the cabinet too. Does anyone on here know where to find some?

Asteroids
Joust - 19-in-1
Gangbusters, Midway
Ms. Pacman - 412-in-1
NBA Jam - Maximum Hangtime
Neo Geo MVS-4 (v2) - 161-in-1 w/ carts not on multi.
Street Fighter II:CE - Z-back w/ Hyper Fighting & 309-in-1
Super Chexx
Super Sprint
Track 'n' Field CT
Upper Deck, Williams
Warlords CT
Zeke's Peak

Dedicated vids are great and some despise the multi-boards ... but I want ALL the games and space is limited. Compromises have to be made. My Asteroids will be replaced with a Space Duel w/ Zector ZVG vector mame. Would love to add a Robotron cabaret and 720.

Pics are a year old but hasn't changed that much.

Yes they are pretty easy to find, although a little harder to find with the seat. They don't sell for much - $250 - $450 I'd say.

I saw his games over on Klov before he was banned. I always enjoyed looking at his restores. Most of the cronies over at klov always cried about him remaking cabinets but I thought they looked great. Ed

There were some "purists" (well, one really) who I think was jealous of his work. I read all of his restoration threads as well, and was in awe. Fantastic work. Yes, he remakes cabinets. Yes that may not be "original" but at risk of a cargument.....Is a car a "restoration" of you use replacement body panels?

Things got heated on KLOV more because of terminology. At what point is it a "restoration" rather than a "reproduction"? Who cares really. Life is to short to get so upset about a freaking video game. The fact that Fizz is the "HEP" of the video game world is stunning to me as the games he brings back to showroom quality often have no replacement parts available for them.

I say keep up the good work!

He's a true cabinet maker not some hack using bondo to make an old cab "look" new. I had a few spots on my MACH 3 cab that absorbed water and were swollen, I had to gouge them out and use bondo to fill them in. On the bottom of both sides at the bottom 2-3 inches up were very bad and it still looks like crap and not very strong. Can you imagine the uproar there would be if any of the pin makers started using that MDL or whatever they used on those arcade cabs. Fizzs cabs will last 100+ years. I looove his craftsmanship.

#437 9 years ago

Anyone have a bartop like arcade game that can take quarters?
I want to make something like this for a location or two...
P.S. not mega touch, something like a jamma game setup.

#439 9 years ago

fizgig/pacman, just does everything necessary, I'm certain that on some things he has to use bondo, but do it right. I have used bondo on many projects, and if applied and sanded properly, it works very very well. I hear where your coming from though, there are "refurbishers" out there that are destroying cabs while trying to fix them, they end up turning out worse.

You just need to sell that MACH 3 to me and I'll get it up and running and give it a proper restoration!

Don't worry there are 10 pins in here also + 3 arcade cabs +100 arcade pcb's from space invaders through to gauntlet legends

Nope, original. Was able to polish it up.

Dragons Lair, Super Pac, and Star Wars will be my only dedicated arcades. I need the room for pinball. Getting ready to move my multicade down to the basement to start the wiring. Will play almost all Arcade, Nintendo, Genesis, Super Nintendo, and Daphne games. Will be a 2 player / 6 button setup. Once we move into a new house I will upgrade to a pedistal style with 4 player.

When your done with it how much does something like that sell for, if you don't mind me asking.

I've watched PACMAN's restores for a few years now. I have yet to figure out if he plays them, just collects them, resells them, or just hoards them until he can unload them in the future. No judgement here and are some of the best looking games I have ever seen.
