What is a good crowd-pleaser gun game? Looking for something that younger kids can enjoy and won't get too boring for adults once you "beat it."
Back in the day, my go-tos were Revolution X (too big) and Area 51 (too gory...?) but very open to ideas.

VS. Duck Hunt is very popular when I have it installed. You can shoot the dog in the arcade version too
2186473-shottheduckhunutdog (resized).jpgQuoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:The last couple of weeks I've been working on a Galaxian that was painted blue and converted to a Ms. Pac-man. Had to take it down to bare wood and start over. It is turning out pretty good but lots of my parts are stuck in USPS hell at the moment (like the art). I made a high end all original parts controll panel and a second one from a junker I bought on eBay for a Multicade. Might keep this one as a multicade since Galaxian isn't worth much. At least I saved the cabinet.

Looking good ! I know it’s not for everyone but Galaxian is an underrated game IMO . Nice work !
The longer Covid lasts the nicer my personal collection is becoming. The art and glass arrived for Galaxian. This one is done and took about 60 hours. I was even able to save the metal plate on the backside. It was covered in blue latex paint but cleaned up nice.

Thanks - I did very little to it. Had to make it a back door and update the aging capacitors. I don’t know why but half the games I end up with are missing their doors. I have become a master at recreating them.
Quoted from Skyemont:I own only 4 arcades:
Ice Cold Beer
Moon Patrol
Qbert
Zekes Peak
ICB & Zeke ? You should sell of your least fav of the two and put in another machine for a little more variety .
That said - all 4 are nice games !

Maybe one day.
Quoted from manadams:Looking for a Reactor, Black Widow, Congo Bongo or The Pit arcade games.
all great games. I remember reactor, the pit and tutankham fondly from that era
Anybody install a Jamma Pandora Box DX yet? The game list is impressive but I’m not sure it supports a trackball or spinner. Those are must haves for some of the games listed (Tron, Mad Planets, Discs of Tron and Kozmik Krooz’r to name a few). Any insight would be appreciated.
Quoted from Trogdor:Anybody come across an Atari Space Lords? I could use a few..
Someone on klov posted one for sale a while back.. I have one and probably enough parts to build a 2nd 4 player cabinet. But I don’t see an need to link another 4.
I Just checked, a guy quebec was asking if he should buy one back on July 30th.
Just got done fixing up a Spyhunter. I think it turned out great and the best part is sharing this gem with my children. I grew up playing this game at my local 7-11 and it has become a special part of my life with lots of great memories. Very few games compare to the thrill and sounds of playing Spyhunter. Having my children experience the thrill of playing Spyhunter=priceless.
GEDC6126.JPGGEDC6113.JPGGEDC6097.JPGGEDC6059.JPGI also picked up a classic Super Toy N Joy to go next to my Lucky Eggs machine. These machines are great for the children(especially at parties) and seeing their faces gleam with smiles on them as they put quarters in=priceless. I purchased some cool toys for the eggs and the children love them.

Nice lineup! Paperboy, Spy Hunter and 720 are three of my all-time favorites.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Back in the house for the second time. Just in time for Halloween.
Nice! I just completed a cap kit and some other repairs on my CarnEvil and have been playing the snot out of it lately. Still looking for a new/repro CPO to finish it off.

Thanks. I did see that, but unfortunately it looks like they have been OOP for a while now.

Write them. I think they are in the process of moving. I still think they can accommodate you but might take some time.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go and see what they say.

Quoted from pinmister:Wow that Super Sprint looks like new, I am looking for the two player version-Championship Sprint if anyone has one to sell?
My buddy restored it to look like that. I do need to recap the monitor, but other than that, it's perfect. Champion Sprint is also great, just keep in mind, if you're not aware, Champion Sprint does NOT come apart, where Super Sprint does. So, if you have a narrow staircase, it maaaay be a tight squeeze. Good luck with the find
A friend of mine is selling a nice Tempest. He's more of an arcade guy than a pinball guy, and I am not sure he knows about this thread, so I figured I would post it here for him:
I officially turned my Galaxian into a Multicade. It now has two control panels. One is a restored original and the other is a restored multicade control panel. I bought all the multicade boards and determined they all suck. The least sucky one is the Vertical Game Elf 412 in 1. There was no thought about how the games were going to be controled when they were added to these boards. This makes playing many of the popular games on a given board impossible. Most play ok but some used the exact opposite controls and were unplayable because of it. At first I thought I could get the spinner to work for games like Tron. In theory it did work but the spinner lag made it unplayable. The only game that benefits from the spinner is Tempest so I kept it on the control panel. In order to play the most games possible I made a switch bank of 7 three way switches. I can now swap controls to play the most games possible.

I know this is a old post but the Point Blank series should fit the bill.
I would love to find one of those Neo Geo SC19 Candy Cabs. Does anyone have insight on where I would be able to find one?
Thanks
Ed

This one started out as a restore, but got MAME'd :

I was going to keep it as a "South American Neo Geo" but someone offered me a lot of cash to MAME it (over a decade ago)
