Wow I never knew that existed well used to exist. Looked like fun.

It’s cool, the only real

I have a restored Forgotten Worlds with original spinners and Capcom caps on the spinners. The vinyl on the game was shrinking and was replaced with laminate. There is new side art and a new bezel on it too, with a rebuilt K7000. It plays well, just not a game I've warmed up to.

I'd love to trade it toward any of the following original games, restored or not: Turkey Shoot, Kozmik Krooz’r, Bubbles, Irritating Maze (dedicated), Pooyan, Mad Planets, Zookeeper, or a Spy Hunter cockpit. I've had some folks ask me about buying it outright. I would rather trade it if possible but might sell it if I can't find a trade. Please feel free to send me a message if interested. Thanks.

Just picked up a Defender. I have 40 years of pent up frustration to take out on this thing. I want my quarters back.

That a credit button where the lock goes? That's pretty cool.
The door just stay shut with friction?

Operation Wolf. It was not working when I first bought it. I have repaired many broken wires and have this machine running. I still need to replace a few connectors to make it reliable.

When I went to pick it up today the seller had already swapped it out for a normal lock. Game is also now on free-play.

I've managed to fix up a Neo Geo single slot in an old Aladdin's Castle generic cab. It's sitting next to a Spy Hunter that just got new filter caps, and a cab centipede that has a fresh capkit and a new flyback. Good news is I learned a lot about soldering, desoldering, and electricity all at one time!!

Just to throw it out there, I have a Dig Dug I purchased in 1987 that I never play anymore, that I would sell for 500.00. It was routed before I got it, and has coin door damage, and 2 holes for a lock down bar drilled, otherwise in great shape. It has the manual also.

Except for the contacts needed cleaning here and there it has always worked perfect. pm me if you are in the area and want to check it out.

It is not in my way, and I am not desperate to sell, just seeing if someone has been looking for one.

#2664 1 year ago

Here are some Dig Dug pics. For whatever reason I can only figure out how to get one at a time in a post. Well 2 somehow this time.

are the P1 and P2 buttons original?

Quoted from DorkVonWaterfall:

If you are talking to me I have no clue about the buttons. I have had the game since 1987 and it was routed for however long before I got it.

I have never changed anything on the game.

#2667 1 year ago

Nice Dig Dug, I would snatch that up in a heartbeat if I were closer. Seems like a lot of people have fond memories of it whenever I’m asking what games they liked.

My current video games are Defender, Joust, Pac-Man, Tapper, Q*Bert, Centipede, Spy Hunter, Paperboy, Galaga, Tempest, Tron, and Star Wars.

I’d love to pick up a few more like Frogger, Donkey Kong, Burgertime, and Missile Command. And Ice Cold Beer - love that one!

Picked up this beauty a couple weeks back! She’s almost in new condition, 100% original and never been touched. The seller told me his dad had it at home since the late 80’s.

Now to get it working... It doesn’t boot up, only makes a single bong at startup, and I can hear the monitor power up but no image or neck glow...

Ms. Pac and Mappy. The Ms. Pac has never been on route. I purchased it from a Midway executive in Chicago back in the 90's. Rarely played and zero burn in. The Mappy is in excellent condition as well. If someone is looking to add a couple of sweet cocktails to their collection let me know. Not giving them away but would entertain a fair offer. They're taking up precious pinball room!

Those look amazing! And he may not have played it much,. but that high score is insane! Does it have a High Score Save? My Ms. Pac doesn't save the high score when unplugged.

I installed the 23 in 1 Clay Cowgill kit so it plays all the Pac variants, and saves high scores. Hard meter in the door shows less than 7k plays lifetime.

Mortal Kombat II: This machine is near and dear as it is from the arcade I worked for in the 90s.

Capcom Q Grand Am 25: A very hard machine to find. I have been documenting this cabinet to help others. Restored over the years and is complete. The Unique ball bearing monitor rotation mech lets you change monitor orientation in seconds. (the monitor mech is not standard in all Q25s)

We have a MAME cabinet and the Namco Ms Pac-Man.

The main ones are the original
Dragons Lair
Cruisin Exotica
Jurassic World shooter

And of course, a few of the Arcade 1up games.

Nice spread of games. Is the glass able to come off the games in front of the air hockey?

#2683 1 year ago

I've only got the one... Space Invaders I restored years ago. Used to restore them... but dropped that hobby for pinball. I love all of the games that use translucent reflective mirrors. I need to find me a nice Asteroids Deluxe one day.

Yes, it is a little tight but we can get the glass off the games.

I have a dedicated Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters, serial #8, new uninstalled side art from This Old Game, with hand-drawn prototype marquee. It's a really cool game, but I realize I would like to have some others on my wishlist more. I am considering trading or selling it for/toward: Turkey Shoot, Kozmik Krooz’r, Bubbles, Irritating Maze (dedicated), Pooyan, Mad Planets, or Spy Hunter cockpit.

Anyone have one of those they would consider trading, or anyone have an interest in possibly buying it? I would rather trade than sell it but would consider offers. Thanks.

This may get frowned on here, but in my situation with wanting a lot of games with little space, recently 2 things I have purchased has turned out awesome for me and my lady.

The first was a full size cocktail table with 60 games. Late at night after we turned the pins off we were playing this a lot. And enough play it was worth the price.

The first game did not have Paperboy, and my lady kept talking about that game, so I found a big, I mean very big multicade with 12k games on it, (Paperboy, Asteroids, Defender, and just etc, etc, that the 60 game did not have).

Pinball machines will always be the ultimate, but for cost and variety a multicade goes a long way also imo.

I have space left for one pin, and most likely will fill that with the 3rd AP release.

And someday I may need to move a whole lot of stuff, because the 12k has so many driving games I may want a 2nd one just set up for all that.

Thanks it was the one griffen had for sale on klov a few months back. The guy who bought it didn’t like it so I picked it up from him. Just needs a few things done to it. Cap kit for sure.

I think that part of the grief comes from the guys using cheap, crappy 60-in-1's in a cabinet and then charging an arm and a leg for it. the phoenix arcade arcade sd is a nice solution for those looking to jam more than 2-3 games into a single cabinet using a board switcher. I know a number of people who flip cabinets for a living and will pop in one of the cheap chinese 60-in-1 boards and set it to a single game to sell the cabinet to an unsuspecting (and unknowledgable) person rather than fix the original board sets. they then sell off the original board set to double-dip.

personally, I think using an LCD panel over a raster tube is the larger crime in terms of an arcade cabinet

In this multicade out of all the games available, I like one the best and I had never seen it before. Simple, old school.

River Patrol

If you like old school games you may love this.

Does anyone here have the full size arcade River Patrol?

If so, how do you rank it against your other games?

I couldn’t agree more.

Unfortunately there’s such popularity built around the 60-1 that I even run into people I know and respect that are successful in their fields , and they have money to spare and they still hope for a possibility of having a 60-1 Machine . I educate them from time to time, and they say “meh, it seems good enough to get by”.

I love the arcade SD, very very accurate emulation.

I also like nice powerful mame builds. (I’m still wandering how to get screen tearing to stop. If anyone has good advise please let me know).

<- good emulation, but still not original and as perfect as the experience can be

#2697 1 year ago

I love old school fairly easy at first arcade games. I owned a Dig Dug original standup from 1985 until just last week. (my highest score was 89k something).

Anyway, keeping this short, but does anyone have River Patrol?

This muticade has all kinds of games, and I had never heard of it and it is my favorite game now.

I looked it up on wiki, it has 99 levels and takes 3 hours to complete. (and I felt good just to make it to the 3rd level before reading that).

Anyway I personally think this is the best old school game I had never heard of, or seen anywhere as a kid.

Space Duel returned to the game room yesterday! Well,. it's still in the garage, but it will get there soon.

Had this game before but it got damaged in a flood and I sold it. glad to have another back again! Even included a retro 80's ashtray which was mounted to the front of the cabinet. LOL
