Quoted from jorge5240:

Thinking about getting Star Wars battle pod. Anyone have one of these? Whats the thought? How is the maintenance?

This question was just asked in a recent thread I ran across (and of course now cannot locate). From what I recall, the game play is very linear and once you've been through it a few times there is little continued excitement. Great for a location, but for a home environment it may get stale quickly.

I'd rather get a Pacman Battle Royale

This is on my radar as well. Thanks

Still sorting games but thought you’d enjoy pix of this rare beast. I still remember seeing this wheeled into my arcade as a kid. DARIUS blew us away because we couldn’t figure out how super wide screen worked. It’s original, just needed some cabinet touch ups. One of the 13” monitors needs a cap kit so I’ll probably just do all 3.

#2055 6 years ago

Such a cool cabinet and amazing artwork. I also acquired a super rare original DARIUS poster that I’ll be scanning to print out repro posters and tshirts.

The control panel is screen printed right to the wood. The colors are vibrant with no fading at all.

Please count me in on the poster.

Man I’d love to have scans or high quality photos of the art so I could scratch build it correctly one day...

Thank you for sharing this, I know you post a lot of rare brilliant stuff, but this one tops it for me

... I did a quick google on this poster because I knew I had seen it somewhere

Same??? Scratches on the image a watermark?

#2071 6 years ago

So... just so you know how much a fan I am of shmups...

Next to my side of the bed is my custom build shmups arcade, single player, Japanese Xbox 360 installed with a personal custom modded sanwa JLF joy and super short throw Japanese buttons... that’s right, I put an arcade in my bedroom to play shmups on. Laying in bed posting this... snapped a pic in the dark. Didn’t even wake up the wife, lol.

That Darius is off the charts cool.

I'm working on setting up my arcades in the next two weeks at my new place... (More or less a 10 year project that will never be completed!)

I will get some pics in this thread when I have the stuff that I can fit set up.

Love that Big Blue, looks like the CE behind it is in a Dynamo HS5 painted black.
You need to get a Darksoft CPS2 for that BB

DJ Boy! Where the boss uses farting to fight you!

#2087 5 years ago

A lot of these cabinets are just sitting in my barn locked and wrapped up; waiting for the house expansion. The other few are playable in my garage.

Battlezone - Caberet
Killer Instinct 1 & 2
Primal Rage
Mortal Kombat - Mame
Street Fighter 2 CE - Mame
Virtual Fighter 2
Dragons Lair 1 & 2
Gauntlet Dark Legacy - Generic Midway Cab
Offroad Challange - Dual Cabs
Punchout
BloodStorm
Mace The Dark Age

Also have this project KI 3 machine, its a work in progress. Inside is Windows 10, Raspberry pi and an older FX 8530. Running a GTX 780 SLI setup. Game runs great and was a big hit at our last NYE party.

Okay, so maybe someone here can help me. Does anyone have or have pictures of the inside of the control panel for a Nichubutsu deluxe cabinet for Crazy Climber?
Crazy_Climber_-_1980_-_Nichibutsu.jpgCrazy_Climber_-_1980_-_Nichibutsu.jpg
Specifically I'm looking for a picture of the brackets on the control panel interior that the plunger locks latch into. I've also seen pictures of Moon Quasar and Frisky Tom in this same cabinet.

Mr. Regular of car review game mentioned he was a big arcade RoadBlasters fan. Swapped it in from Marble Madness and IJ & TOD. Been in touch with him and he may do review.

I just switched around the game room some for my daughter's 11th birthday party yesterday. This is the current working lineup. Not shown are the projects in works which include Elevator Action, Mr Do, Donkey Kong, Smash TV, Dragons Lair 2, and 2 Cruis'n Exoticas which need to be brought in the game room. The pins are in the next room over.

Anyone looking to sell a MK1 or MK2 in the northeast?

#2100 5 years ago

Anyone here ever look at their vids and decide to sell out? Mine are all driving games and a pita to move. I've posted my pair of F355 Challenge Deluxe's mostly because pins are so easy to bring in and out. Games this large are such a permanent staple which I cannot seem to commit to.
