anyone have any cabarets they want to sell to me ?
here's a list: http://publicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=186&sid=472b75ef600ac6f87a89c9bb1e377f69

Picked it up for $400.

Even not working that'd be a great price. Congratulations!

Well fortunately I picked it up from a fellow collector and friend. He has bought a few games from me in the past and I think I have always given him decent prices also. He picked it up as part of a package deal and passed it on to me for his cost. It's nice having friends in this hobby because too many are just out for quick bucks.

If you look at my current lineup in those pics, this is the most I have ever paid for a game. I usually pick them up as projects and put the work into them. I got lucky with Frogger because i don't HAVE to do anything to it if I don't want to.

Quoted from jwwhite15:

I have a few machines for sale with more on the horizon. Most of them are bigger machines but here is the start:
Duel Time Crisis II - 100% 800
Duel Sega Rally Championship - 100% 800
If anyone is interested in some redemption or ticket games let me know. I have some sports arenas, spin doctors, big haul, dozers...
Open to offers and trades. Thanx in advance.

Here are more I have for sale. I plugged them in and tried to play them...if they didn't come on I moved to the next game. I apologize for the terrible pics. This warehouse has A LOT of natural light and some of the monitors/screens are hard to see.

Rowe Change machine - works needs cleaning. 400
Sport Arena (4)- All work but have minor issues. Could make 3 perfect ones and have extra parts available. All also filled with prizes. 300 each or all four 800
Spin Doctor (3)- Ticket redemption 2 work and one didn't. 200 each.
Dozer Duel coin pusher - One side works great, the other side started to work and stopped. I think the motor is stuck or bad. 300
House of the Dead - 100% - 500
The Ocean Hunter - Plays blind - 300
Tsurugi - won't start "Bad Ram" - 300
Ski Champ - 100% - 500
hiphopmania complete mix 2 - plays, screen is dark, no sound - 400
silent scope 2 - doesn't "load" - 300
Top Skater - 100% - 500
Virtua Cop 2 - guns need calibrating - 700
Maximum Force - 100% - 600

Has anyone ever played a Haunted/Panic Museum or even seen one? I've been trying to find one forever.

I've never heard of it before. Had to look it up too see what it is.

Just finished up my Dragon's Lair/DL2/Space Ace machine. Now if only I didn't completely suck at these games.

On the hunt for an OutRun 2 twin. If anyone can point me in the direction of a nice one in the States, I would be very grateful.

I agree. I have a Pac-Man cabaret that is easy on space.

The only arcade games it really makes sense to own are the ones with unique controls that just aren't fun to play on your home computer or even MAME cab.

I used to Own Spy Hunter and Star Wars vector and miss both of them. Great games. But like all arcade videos you'd get sick of them after just one or two games. Would like to have Star Wars again, always been my favorite arcade video.

That's mostly what I get. So I have games like Paperboy, Road Blasters, Defender, Outrun, etc, games where it really helps to have the original arcade control layout, those games just aren't as fun to me on Mame or emulation. I attached a pic of my Paperboy, I'm proud of it as I restored it myself

Anyone ever see this dinosaur. Came across it looking at another arcade game down some creepy basement. Has a Ramtek board in it. Says made in Norwood MA. Kinda looks like a 3 player team pong

Wow, haven't seen one of those.

The game that is. Seen too many creepy basements in my arcade and pinball collecting.

I just picked up this machine today. It's structurally in really good nick for it's age besides all the rusted metal parts at least and a rare beast indeed At this stage i'm a bit wary about actually hooking it up to the power, all seems ok inside visually though, no obvious burnt out relays, etc and also looks complete. The more i look at it the more a line from a Foreigner tune comes to mind "I'm in too deep, i'm in over my head this time". This is going to be a LONG TERM project for sure. Does anyone have any leads on where i could find documentation for this machine?? All i've been able to track down is the original flyer!

Sure is, really pops. I know it was called decola, certainly not a decal. I'm not sure if these were screen printed on or not, finding it hard to dig up any info at all on this wee beast

is that a full-sized cab? looks short.

Quoted from labnip:

Well it was made in Japan
But yeah think it's definitely original, bit shorter than me so about 5 foot 7 or so. Still has the rego plate on the back and all.

My guess is that it's silk screened like a lot of Atari cabinets from the late 70's to the mid 80's (I.E. Centipede, Asteroids, Space Duel).

OMFG, finely got brave enough to plug in Night Rider and turn on, almost 100% working after at least 20 years of sitting idle and unplugged, in my books that's BLOODY amazing!!! Does anyone know if it's possible to contact Sega? ( the arcade division, NOT the home entertainment side ), i'd really like to be able to get some documentation for this machine. So far i've tried a few other places that possibly could help me out with no luck at all.

This is what one might think. I dabbled in it 5-6 years ago and got out. I got back in and plan to stay in. I find that much like pinball, there is no substitute for the real deal. I actually have to stop myself from playing pacman, centipede, donkey kong, mario bros, etc, because I'm likely to get addicted and can't stop playng.
Sure, I can mame or CPU, but none of that takes me back like a time machine, I really like the feel of the original old school games, there is a lot of history there! Think back to when you were in the 80's, I'm sure there are some long forgotten moments and memories, and much time has passed... but to walk up to an original Galaga or Centipede that's still playing? It was here then and it's still here now. Really fun stuff.

I have a working cage and boards, but I don't want to part with them. Sorry. Maybe you can get a cage and some of the boards for Gorf or Wizard of Wor and put a set together if you can find the ROM board and CPU board.

added omega race today to my vector row.

Quoted from robotron:

most excellent.

i got contacted about buying an Omega Race upright that had been sheet-rocked into it's own little jail for the last 20 years.
they just pulled the sheet-rock down, & it was in it's own little space alone in darkness.
Cabinet looked really good & it was non-working (not sure what was problem yet).
I passed 'cause I've only got room for cabarets right now.
ps. anyone have an Omega Race cabaret for sale?

Just picked up a QBert from a local seller, always wanted one of these. It's not saving high scores but I ordered a high score save kit that will hopefully fix that, and I ordered side art for it otherwise it's in great shape. Also bought a project Road Blasters that I've just torn apart for restoration, it's in pieces on the table as I prep the cabinet for work.

Going with yellow t moulding. I'm a fan of alternate colors for t moulding, I have purple on my Crystal Castles, yellow on Millipede, light blue on Paperboy, and had orange on my Marble Madness but I sold that one. I think yellow will look cool on Road Blasters but guess we'll see.
