"shop" not "arcade"
Still building the arcade. This is where I'll be working on the games. Built a custom workspace/storage area.

Nope, just strategically placed. Crossbow and Crackshot guns are offset just enough to slide the games together.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:I imagine you had to pull the rifles off those Exidy shooting games to pack all those games in there like that.

and they or most are all like new!!! truly amazing.
About 30% arcade machines are original, the rest are restored. Of the pinball machines, most are original with just a few restored.

pacman:
you wouldn't happen to have an extra WG6100 that you'd be interested in selling, would you?
I purchased one off of a KLOV member, but the neck got broke in transit
I might have a used tube but I think it has some phosphor burn in the middle. I'd need to look.

That looks like a really fun game. What's the play?
is anyone here planning on attending MGC in april? if so, swing by my booth, say 'hi' and buy all my stuff!
It's an awesome game, you have a jet pack and a huge blaster. The deluxe version moves all over the place too.
Quoted from MustangPaul:That looks like a really fun game. What's the play?
Where would someone start that's looking for a machine that will play the classics (Frogger, Donkey Kong, Qbert, Asteroids, etc) along with Dragon's Lair and the Mortal Kombat games? Or do these all require separate setups?
I'm an IT guy, so I don't mind having to handle the computer part if necessary, but would be interested in purchasing the cabinet / control / display setup. Unless you can buy them all ready to go for a reasonable amount more.
the classics can all be played using something like arcade sd (from phoenixarcade.com) if you're looking for something like a multi-cade, however you will still be limited to playing games which have either a vertical or horizontal orientation (based on how the monitor is installed in the cabinet).
you might want to look at just a cabinet and a mame solution if you want to play classics, dragon's lair (which was a laser disc game) and stuff like mortal kombat (games that started using a lot more in the way of board logic and ram/rom chips) all in one cabinet.
Thanks guys, I'll upload a video so you can see how it all works under the hood.
All that's left to do now is to design and print .50 cent coin inserts, cut new smoked glass for the tail lights, put the panels back on and install the black pyramid rubber mats.
sold my gaplus and the extra gaplus and galaga board sets today
however, instead of walking away with a pocket full of money, I purchased a working 100% clean [no hacks at all] major havoc board set and space duel to major havoc converter
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:PACMAN is the Chris Hutchins of video games. Absolutely stunning work!
I'm even more jealous now
Quoted from j_m_:really? I thought that chris hutchins was the PACMAN of pinball restorations
Hmmmm, never thought of it that way, but that could be possible.
Not sure who was doing this first. Either way, amazing work by both.
Chris
Space harrier looks like a earlier version of the 2 player Planet Harrier?
Only older vids I currently have at the shop are several old laser disc titles. Might still have Saurian Front buried someplace also.
Wow! Thanks for the great compliments, I don't think I'm at HEPs level but maybe some day. I started doing this about 5 years ago. Hopefully you'll all get a chance to visit my museum in the near future. I'm hoping to have it built in the next few months. Will have about 250 games set on free-play.
Nice! Such a fantastic game.

Quoted from pinballsmith:Slither worked it's way into the house, but the sides need to be refinished. It should be a fun winter project.

awesome find!!!
I shot a quick video today of each arcade machine I have in my garage. Each of these games is going to be restored or refreshed this year. I'm planning to put out one video per restore focusing more on the story about how I got the game and what work i plan to do. Then some "after" footage of the end result. Once the game is restored i'll bring it in to the actual game room.
This video focuses on the mess of a garage I started with and the end result of 2 days of cleaning and organizing. Then I go through each game in the restore queue.
Hopefully a decent amount of content this year!
here's a cellphone walk-thru of 'the arcade' in brighton, mi (owner: mike magyari) that I shot on jan 02, 2016

Oh man they got a MACH 3....but it wasn't working. Do they know how to fix it?
Wow!! Some amazing titles in there. I wonder why so many are shut off? Not working or not enough power to go around. I've experienced both :/

Some Data East goodness!
Great video. You're on you're way! I restored my first game in 2010, it was an Exidy Crossbow.

shut off probably because they are not working. mike buys a lot of stuff in bulk deals and then either fixes or flips them. he's got a stand-up discs of tron, tron, 720 and dedicated major havoc at his home, which are all in really nice (but not restored to the level that I've seen here
