No, sorry...I dig that game way too much, I've owned it for many years.

very nice wow. love the attract mode on wow, really nice to have in the arcade.

Scramble, Star Wars, Daytona USA, Outrun, Cruisin' World, and Track & Field. That said, I'm about to post Cruisin' World up on Craigslist. Daytona might be on its way out already as well.

scramble has that nice colorful "porn bezel" . I do so much driving in real life commuting, I cant play driving games!!

#856 4 years ago

You mean this part of the bezel? lol Yeah, that bezel artwork never made sense to me. Still one of my favorite arcade shooters from back in the day...

I understand, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Wow was one on my all time favorites as a kid.

This image got 2 "unsafe" tags and has been hidden automatically, as per your settings. un-hideIMG_5405.jpg 2

pinside hid the image ....too funny. they had one of those in Disney until I pointed it out one day, they removed the porn bezel!!

Great list of games. I like shups too - and I didn't even know about progear until I looked it up. OMG- I was missing out. I only have a MAME from x-arcade (running Hypershin/MAME, kawaks, daphnie, etc.) so I am not TOO into it that I have dedicated cabs. But I enjoy playing them. The 29ich flatscreen CRT make the games look really nice.

Progear is a very nice horizontal shmup. Here are all the Cave games listed, so you don't miss another one . My favorite is Muchi muchi pork.

Quoted from j_m_:

they will be restored to their former stand-up glory. my neighbor has already done one and it came out amazing
did they even have q*berts in cabarets [officially, not operator conversions]?

I don't think it was ever a mini. I'm just space constrained lately and only have room for a couple minis

Thanks! I played (for the first time):

Progear
Espgaluda 1
Espgaluda 2
Muchi Muchi Pork

They are really nice! and sound great!

For the MAME crowd - I had to run Esp2 and MMPork using MAME version .164 (latest version), for Progear and ESP 1 you can use an older version (like 155) but they ran better on 164. Also, I ran Progear on CPS2 Emulator/Kawaks and it did best on that emu. The CPS2 emulator from kawaks has better sound, and richer color and AA. Also, Kawaks keeps lag down to practically zero on heavy screen load that will sometimes lag MAME. I get very little lag on my MAME CPU because it is a Hex Core running at 3.5 Gig with 8GB of 1600 RAM.

I can't tell but what's really strange is that the screen image looks almost identical to the Make Trax next to it.

hehe. it's amazing how good we were at these games back in the '80s and now, 30 years later, are getting our butts kicked by the very same titles

I'm crossing my fingers that the tempest board set works and will soon be back in a cabaret. and fortunate appears to have smiled upon me with the guy in australia who has reproduced the pc board sets, allowing you to convert tv tubes to color x-y monitors

both q*bert sets that I picked up work 100% , so its just a matter of find the correct cabinets for those guys as well

Whoa... who is this guy you speak of who has repro'd board sets that allow you to convert to tv tubes to color x-y monitors??? And how good does it actually look next to a real vector monitor?

Actually, I can play many of those games better today than I ever could back in the day - but then you have games like Defender and Stargate, which I just plain suck at, then AND now.

Quoted from labnip:

I would imagine that would be a great perk of owning a Stargate machine - you won't be rolling that sucker over in a week, that's for sure...

Man, I just love Scramble. Nothing brings back late childhood Jersey Shore memories for me more than that game. The game had just come out that year, and my dad and I just couldn't believe how cool it was when we found it in an mini-golf arcade on Long Beach Island. Great memories.

My only arcade video is Assault. Never bores me---probably cuz it's tough and I suck at it.

Yeah Scramble is one I used to play with my Dad as well when I was a kid. It's one of the main reasons I have it in my colleciton.

The feedback on the guns turns yours arms into serious jello. I could never beat that game in the arcades as a kid. It just cost way to damn much haha.
