I'd go something like
Paragon
Genie
Mata Hari
Centigrade 37
Jungle Queen
Evel Knievel. Just an opinion. I know the ratings don't agree, but the double spinners and the drops just make it a great game for me.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Gorgar is best looking of the 70's games.
Actually I think it's tied with Paragon. Plus they're two of the best pins of the 70's.
Quoted from RWH:Centigrade 37
Also, a very cool game. I got to play this at SPFXTED's house and I thought the theme was great, along with a neat back box animation.
I think these are the best.
Fireball
Eight Ball
Fast Draw
Paragon
Harlem Globetrotters
Strikes and Spares
Wizard!
Target Alpha
Quoted from Chrisbee:If you go by the top 100 EM’s it’s Centigrade 37
There really are not enough reviews on the EM side of this site... I suggest anyone who has not rated their favorite EM's listed in this thread to do so. It helps to "shake out" the best games.
I really enjoyed Count-Down when I owned it. Also, 1972 Kingpin, Hot Shot, Joker Poker, Capt. Fantastic.
Love the late 70s machines! Totally Biased, but I bought my machine for a reason.
Six Million Dollar Man is my favorite game. I'm a little disappointed that there are hardly any ratings for it on this site. Not enough to qualify it for any ranking. There were like 10K machines made so surely some pinsiders have played it.
Six Million Dollar Man
Gorgar!
Eightball
Strikes and Spares
Future Spa
Like I said, I love the 70's games, but am pretty surprised that the 80s machine thread got so much more traction than this one.
Paragon
Meteor
Countdown
Sinbad
Joker Poker
Genie
Fast Draw
Royal Flush
Card Whiz
Pop a Card
4 Million BC
Centigrade 37
I also have a soft spot in my heart for Harlem Globetrotters.

Its a shame that more of us have not got onboard with the top 100EM's
