We are running out of Dad rock bands (outside Pink Floyd The Wall which 100% should be done) but what are some potential solid newer music bands for a good pin?

How about Nirvana so Kurt can roll over in his grave some more.

RHCP would be fun as there is a lot to do with them but Van Halen has potential for an Eruption multiball. AIC and Soungarden would be nice homage but a tad depressing. Smashing pumpkins would have some nice artwork if they meshed album covers on the playfield.

I'm 100% sure a Dr Dre pin would sell at least 1000 units. Prob double that.
It's time for a rap pin.

Sorry to sidetrack but your Floyd comment interests me….
Why “the wall”? - there so much more to Floyd than The Wall. For me, If they ever do Floyd Pin they better dig deep and cover the “classic era” where they all share the rights. No way in hell roger would work with anything Floyd 87’ Ltd. And Roger basically owns all rights to the Wall. Sadly, they would never license out their tunes to make a game out of it. Roger takes himself far too seriously and Getting Gilmour and Waters to agree on pretty much anything is almost impossible at this point. Hell, Animals 5.1 has been in the can for over 2 years and just finally got a release date after Fighting over Rogers pretentious and inaccurate proposed included liner notes. I can dream tho…I’d put my LE order in day 1 - #1 dream theme for me.
    Sorry for my rant…continue on.

I was a huge def Leppard fan when I was younger. I'm not necessarily drawn to music themed pins in particular but man, I just think artwork based on and in the same style throughout the playfield and cabinet of hysteria, pyromania or even andrenalized would look amazing.

I do wish they would pick the top rated generic layout and rule set and just let you order a game package from that sometimes. My brother would dig a bon Jovi. I think a taylor swift would work. You could actually reskin a Dolly Parton game and do it.

I love Alice In Chains but a pinball would be depressing. Like seriously that would be awful

    #32 2 years ago

Pink Floyd pinball? No. The music doesn’t pair well with pinball.

    #33 2 years ago

He also has lots of great music in the 70’s and 00’s….I vote Tom Petty. We need a Tom Petty Pin.

    1981 - Hard Promises
    1982 - Long After Dark
    1985 - Southern Accents
1987 - Let Me Up I’ve Had Enough
1989 - Full Moon Fever *Solo
1991 - Into The Great Wide Open
1994 - Wild Flowers *Solo (arguably one of his best albums)
    1996 - She’s the one soundtrack
    1999 - Echo

I could pick out a Floyd set list that would be badass for pinball.

Prince would be awesome. He was an insane guitar player.

No disrespect, but I can’t think of 12-15 songs from Pink Floyd that would bring high energy pinball excitement and people coming back for more.

I’ll keep saying it until it happens.

Do something a little outside of the box again and add just one year/move into the next decade and do Linkin Park? Maybe in another 10 years when the age group who grew up with LP has a little more disposable income?
