I am going to watch “before my time movies” every month in 2022. What movies would you recommend? I turned 9 in 1995 so most movies prior to that were In that “before my time” category. I am primarily looking for action/sci-fi/fantasy movies. I have tried to “broaden my horizons” and watch some new (to me) movies recently from before my time. I have seen the more popular ones (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future) but expanded my horizons in the past year to Flash Gordon, Logan’s Run, Conan, Robocop, Vacation, and Red Dawn were all new to me but greatly enjoyed. I watched a few because of the pinball machine (Flash Gordon and Demolition man) and these were pleasant surprises. Bonus points if you let us know if it is on a streaming service.
Long story short, any solid movie recommendations from 1975ish to 1995? What should I watch?
Thanks!

So many greats here.

I have come to think this is a great film.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glengarry_Glen_Ross_(film)

I’m rewatching this today. I’m a sales guy all the way. (if I can’t sell it to you I will make you take it for free)
Tommy boy is my other great sales film.

In sales I am both of these guys. In one.

Glen Gary has one of the best scenes in that many years. Alec Baldwin speech. Insanely good. Better than greed Is good from Wall Street even.

Wall Street?

I am a western fan, mostly pre 1980's

Once upon a time in the West is very good, one of the best.

Although my favorite is My Name Is Nobody from 1973 one of, if not, the last great spaghetti western, both gritty and humorous with a haunting soundtrack. I think it was on Amazon or netflix recently.

Just watched it recently and still holds up!

A Clockwork Orange. Originally released in an X version which I saw, then a few weeks later the R version was released. Stanley planned it that way for more shock value and had shot the R scenes to replace the X scenes so the movie remained the same length.
Harold and Maude. A must see movie.

Animal crackers! Our aunt took us to see that movie. Scary back then. Saw it again a few years ago. The garbage trucks scooping up people was almost comical. Pretty sure it’s pre 1975.
