The real time clock on WPC games is notoriously inaccurate. Having the game off for periods of time like most people do doesn't help, although they usually lag vs. run fast. If you happen to have nvram in the game it's not even running.
I wouldn't worry about it and just turn off the date displaying it in the adjustments.
