After coughing up over $20 again for blades a few years ago, I decided to try wet shaving. Dad has done it all his life, I remember barely being tall enough to see over the bathroom vanity while he mixed up his shaving cream with the brush. I bought sample packs of blades and creams. I settled on Feather blades (damn sharp) and rotate soaps/creams. Penhaligon is a nice, distinguished scent. Taylor of Old Bond Street has many great creams, Sandalwood is one of my favorite. We are lucky enough to live a short drive from Maggard Razors in Adrian, MI. Walking in the door and being surrounded by nothing but wet shaving supplies is quite a treat. And if you have time, take a seat and get yourself a hot towel straight razor shave from a pro. They even rebuild/refurbish straight razors on site.
