Shave in the shower. Wash hair and body while letting steam open the pores and soften the bristles. Shave by feel. No need for a mirror. It’s the only way to shave imo.

Razor brand and soap brand don't seem to matter for me either.
I may try that. I’ve bounced back and forth between Barbasol and Gillette Foamy and Gel. Can’t seem to dial in that piece of the shave lately.
