    Painting is the most difficult thing to do. It's easy to just paint a cabinet... it's difficult to have a uniform sheen and not have orange peel, cratering, overlapping inconsistencies, etc. The only way to get that clean mirror glaze is with rubbing compound and polish, $3 polishing drill attachments at Harbor Freight. I would not polish the sides of the cabinet that decals are being applied.
