I tried searching the map, but I'm not sure if everyone here uses their real locations. I was just wondering if I had any other pinball fanatics around my area???

Petaluma? Sacramento? Oakland? San Fran? Anyone?

    #2 6 years ago

lots of us crazy bay area pinheads

    #3 6 years ago

There are lots up in the Bay Area and down here in SoCal as well.

    #4 6 years ago

Tons. Sacto has a HUGE pin community. They mainly gather on their Yahoo group. There are a few of them on here though, too.

    #5 6 years ago

And a few of us north bay trying to stay sane with a beat up Indy 500 at Pinkys and a beat up Scared Stiff at the Buckhorn! Welcome aboard sanFran49ers!

Does Redwood City qualify? Check out the Bay Area Pinball Association if you're interested in league play in the San Jose area.

I noticed you mentioned the west coast in the subject line. The whole west coast is probably the hottest pinball area in the world right now. Portland and Seattle are showing the way, but BC and Cal are doing fine too. Many of the best players in the world live on the west coast. Last 5 or so PAPA's have been won by a Cal player.

Here in the bay area, there's 3 or 4 leagues now. In the city, there's SFPD:

    http://sfpins.org/

    East bay:

I'm in the south bay and compete in BAPA:

Hope to be back to Cali by the end of 2013,

    #28 6 years ago

I'm in the middle of the state, southern San Joaquin Valley, midway between Fresno and Bakersfield near Sequoia National Park. My brother and I share our pin collection so some of them live with him up in the bay area.

    #29 6 years ago

I run pinball tournaments in the bay area and advertise upcoming events: http://pinballbayarea.com

I also founded and help run http://pinballmachine.org, which is a location map for public play games to promote location play.

We can always use a few good men!

    #30 6 years ago

Concord here. Go to EBP and CCPL. I also run the Bay Area's two big team tournaments.

    Royale (March 16th)
    http://www.eastbaypinball.org/royale

    East Bay City Rumble
    http://www.eastbaypinball.org/rumble

Also, obviously, there are Johnny's events as well as POP charity tournaments.

A lot of us are here doing our part to try and make the bay area legit.

    #31 6 years ago

    Lots here in LA

    #32 6 years ago

There is a decent amount of folks on here in the north bay, just like you. I myself am in Marin.

    #33 6 years ago

In the heart of Silicon Valley, good old Cupertino!

Make sure you let us know when you finally go to start liquidating. I'm just up in Fresburg and would LOVE to pick out a nice EM from your "little" stash.

    #35 6 years ago

Plenty of pinheads in the Bay Area the number seems to be growing as the bug spreads!

    #36 6 years ago

Here is another one from B-town

    Find me 10,000 sqft for a $1000/mo;
then i will set up a museum.
Storage costs are getting out of hand.
The games need to see the light of day
and enjoyed being played, as opposed to holed up
in a dark dusty storage unit.
My wife does not mind me having a lot of pins,
just not the cost of storing them.
I freely admit that my pinball addiction got way out of hand,
time to admit it, let some of my "babies" go.
It took me 20 years to get to this point,
so it will probably take a while to disperse the herd.

    cheers tom

I don't think you would have a hard time finding California pinsiders to thin that herd, you've got some nice catches in that collection for sure!

Didn't know Zappa lived in SD for a while. The reason I chose Buck-0-Nine "My Town" was that all the band members were from SD. I could've picked a Blink-182 or STP track, but yeah.

I am so going and hoping to come back home with at least 1 new project pin.

Edit: I hope to come home with at least 1 project machine if the wife and I agree on what to buy.

    #48 6 years ago

    I will be there.

    Quoted from 72Devilz:

I did not feel like there were very many machines for sale last year. Have you had luck there in the past?

I bring home one pin from PAGG each year, sometimes two.

So Far FP, ToM, S-M, Shrek, WH2O, CFTBL, T3, MM, Hyperball and a FT.
Last year I brought home the ToM and MM.
Great show to buy and sell pins and a lot of parts too.
