Anyone from Florida going to pick 1 up ?

    #3 1 year ago

Excited to see the prices weren’t outrageous.

Was anyone present and speak to the quality?

    #4 1 year ago

These were reimports that had been in storage over 20 years. Many were in rough shape. Don’t judge the pinball market by these prices.

I would have bought that Cactus Jack’s even for that price. Nothing was really a “good deal” prices were mid-to-high for heavy projects IMO.

I hope to the good Lord that second price is a typo

    $3800 + 10% for a rough project WW? Damn!

And another 8 percent or whatever for tax.

You need to add like 20 percent to most auction prices. Nobody ever seems to want to accept this. And this is why auctions work and the prices are always so high.

I don’t see anything close to a bargain on that entire list.

    Yes, sorry!

I don't know what people's idea of a bargain is but there are plenty on this list, even after 18%, are well below Pinsides low end average price. If these things are missing parts and need all new boards, sure, they are a hot mess, but these aren't scary prices at all imo.

    F14: Pinside $2,500 - $2,900 Auction $1,534
    DE Batman: Pinside $3,700 - $4,300 Auction $2,006
    Big Hurt: Pinside $2,770 - $3,230 Auction $1,416 - $2,124

Are folks paying ~$4K for a Data East Batman? Seriously??

Factor in at least $500 for an array of new parts that each game most likely needs, and who knows how many hours to clean and fix everything. Then it makes sense why they went for so "cheap".

We bought one, it might take $100 and yes it needs cleaned up but it will be nice when we are done.

I bought the Mario, due to the need to get the game out quickly and no shipping offered by the auction, it ended up costing more than I planned and the game is rough, but I bought it knowing it would be a summer project.
