At first it seemed like I had to sand out somebody's black paint job out of the shooter lane on my recently acquired Fan-tas-tic, but it turned out to be just electrical tape! Weird, but I'll take it - sure makes this step easier.

I guess that's one way to protect shooter lane finish! The previous owner must have been a pinsider and read all the hype about shooter lane wear

Actually not a pinhead of any kind. This machine is the only one and it has been in his family a long time, I didn't poke at this at all because I thought it was paint. Anyway, in the world of used pins usually the surprises are negative. Anyone else have any happy surprises to tell us about?

wayout440 Hey how about some more pics? I'd like to see more than the shooter lane if you don't mind, oh and if you do mind, well it's against pinside rules!

I've encountered three games in the Muskegon, Michigan area that I'm sure came from the same operator.

All had the coin gear stripped which is a minus.

2 of the 3 were mid 60's Gottlieb wedgeheads and had the woodgrain contact paper vinyl applied under the pop bumpers. Removing the contact paper in both instances revealed perfect playfield art underneath. This was a big plus on both games. One was a Kings and Queens which I still have today.

That looks just like my Kings. Haven't pulled off the tape yet, but am tempted too. Little afraid to find out what is underneath.

LOL. Yes. I am sure I will post some more. I just picked it up this past weekend and have not really dug into it yet, not in great shape but should be fun to work on.

Just started cleaning up the playfield, putting rubber and bulbsin along the the way. Far from collector quality, but should be fun.
