Welding Service for broken scoops, guides, ramps etc....

    Hi Guys and Gals.

We own a part time fabrication company that has been mostly making acrylic items such as jewelry and some pinball parts. Most notably to the pinball community we've been doing the Spiderman Colored Webs that are available on Ebay and some clear ramp plastics for BSD.

Well, our company is called Fabrication Unlimited for a reason. We are just as happy, if not happier, to play with metal and have decided to offer TIG welding as a service to the pinball community. We know how hard it can be to find someone to take 15 mins to weld up a little pinball part that also understands pinball enough to know what matters.

Since we have the ability to TIG weld Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Steel; we've repaired metal scoops for a few friends and have recently been asked by other pinball owners to help them out too.

So if you have a broken tab on your guide rail or scoop we can likely fix it. Have a metal assembly with a broken spot weld? We can probably weld it up stronger than new.

Pricing starts at $20 plus return shipping. This would typically cover repairing 1-3 broken welds/small cracks

Turn around time is typically a week or less.

If you have something you'd like fixed, send us a photo of the issue and we can get you a price estimate.

    Quoted from Collin:

Nice! Do you do wire forms?

Unfortunately the chrome plating on the wireforms makes it difficult. We would have to grind the chrome/plating off where it needs to be welded. Then it would need rechromed or coated.

    Quoted from Collin:

If I'm not concerned about the cosmetics, and just want it functional, is it something you're able to do?

If you send me a photo of what is needed via PM I can look and let you know.

Here is before and after of a wireform repair. We did have to grind the chrome to get a good weld.

I will be attending the Louisville Arcade Expo if anyone wants to save on at least one way of shipping. May be able to even do it over the weekend if it can be dropped off with me Friday or Saturday and then returned Sunday. All depends on how much work is needed.

    Quoted from Collin:

Great job, Jason! I got the wireform reinstalled tonight, and am really pleased. It looks nice, and was returned lightning-fast; I doubt it was in his hands for a full day.

Glad you are happy. I just do the prep and clean up, my fiancee does the welding.

Oh good, it fit nicely. We didnt want to add a second bead down the inside of that bend because of how close the screw hole was. Instead just welded on the bottom side and then filed it down flat.

    Quoted from TG:

Well, that should hold it! Thanks!

Yes, yes it should.... We try to fix things better than they originally were where possible.

    Quoted from PoMC:

I'll be emailing a photo of my TFTC ramp with a broken weld. Glad to come across this thread while my TFTC is still apart.

Not sure if I just missed it or what, but never saw a photo from you.
