Video of the Ann Arbor pinball museum, which is about 4 miles directly south of the Arcade. About 200 machines set up and restored.

Looks great! Can't wait to check it out...

Quoted from tamoore:

I have already purchased about 150 dollars worth of replacement parts to fix up the Whirlwind... This hobby is great!!!!

I just picked up a WW and it's great game.. Enjoy!

#224 10 years ago
Quoted from tamoore:

Cool.. Where did you pick that up at? This game has been on my radar for a long time!

Just a guy I knew that bought a few pinballs from me in the past.. Picked up a nice Blackrose too..

#225 10 years ago
Quoted from RonB:

Hmmmm, Bay City maybe?

No I didn't get it in BC..

#227 10 years ago
Quoted from tamoore:

Corey, I'd really like you to come to my party in Grayling in May. I hope you can make it. I think it will be a good time, and will let us all get to know each other a bit better.

Alright thanks for the invite hopefully I'll be able to make it.

#233 10 years ago
Quoted from Bax1:

Not sure if any of you saw the posting in Ann Arbor Craigslist for a TZ for 330. I thought to myself it was a fake ad (which I don't get why people do those) but I responded to it and I actually got a response but supposedly it sold. Anyone else see that one?

Really? I am sure it was fake!

#242 10 years ago
Quoted from Bax1:

Hey fellas. Check out the metro d listings on Craig's. A TZ for 5k all of a sudden. Hmmmm now I really wonder if that ad for 330 was real

I didn't see it when it first posted.. Does the picture looked the same as the previous post for $330?

#247 10 years ago
Quoted from tamoore:

Already looking up...

Alright just got 11million on whirlwind man this game is fast..

#269 10 years ago

Spent the day cleaning my whirlwind waiting on some super bands that I ordered and a new right slingshot plastic..

Quoted from Astropin:

Looking for a DE SW if anyone comes across one.

I just passed one up for $1,500 last month.. It was just too beat up!

#284 10 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

Yeah....I don't mind a minor "fix'er upper" but it's got to have a nice playfield and acceptable cabinet.

Crazy thing is he would of sold it to me for probably $1,300 and the next day someone bought it for $2k. Playfield was nice but it had some hacks on the boards with some rust on side rails.. Probably should of bought it, oh well there will always be another one..

#316 10 years ago
Quoted from Rock914:

Thanks, they had seen an article in the local new's paper by a fantastic local writter.

Great interview man! Glad to see you're doing well with the kits..

#329 10 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

Well.....I found one. It's going to be a serious restoration project! I'll probably post something up.....when I'm done (which could be a while) Oh.......$1200....NOS Translite, nice playfield and working electronics.

$1,200 great price.. Where did you find it?

#334 10 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

RonB saw the add on craigslist. The add was for a LAH but SW was sitting next to it in the picture.
It's going to be a BIG project.

Did you buy both of them? Rock said he was going to get the LAH but the guy never emailed him back.. I tried emailing the for LAH but got no response. Good for you man!

#364 10 years ago
Quoted from Rock914:

Man I need some vid's. It will have to be after I make an addition I am already out of room. Any Mario Kart GP's around?

Yeah Mario Cart would be sweet, I played one at gameworks in Chicago not too long ago..

#372 10 years ago
Quoted from Astropin:

Looks like I might have to part out that SW.
Missing the Death Star wireform ramp and I can not find one anywhere. It's useless without it. On the plus side I shouldn't get hurt parting it out. Bummed though; I really wanted to restore it.

That sucks! I am sure you can find that death star wire form ramp for someone on here.. Just put a want add out.. I have found a lot of stuff with want adds looking for parts. That Steve guy down in Florida has a ton of stuff. GLWYS!

Quoted from cfh:

So far Sunday and Friday have far less people signed up than Saturday at the Ann Arbor pinball showcase. Again unlike other shows Sunday is a viable day. At normal shows Sunday is break down day or games are sold. But again we're not in that model, so Sunday should be just as good as Friday from a game count point of view. But any day should be fine as we cap the number of tickets issued so there isn't an over crowding issue.

I thinking about coming Saturday or Sunday, but my younger son really wants to go too.. He keeps saying tell Clay I know how to play pinball.

Quoted from IceCreamMan:

I added WCS94 and Johnny Mnemonic to the collection this past week.
WCS94 needs a shop job and there's an 11 pin connector and header that are toast. Also has weak flippers. It's in the process of getting shopped out right now.
Johnny Mnemonic if FILTHY and has some minor issues with the hand. About 90% of the bulbs are in need of replacement.

Sweet pins! Where did you get these two machines from?

Quoted from Bax1:

Hey gang. Looking for some help. My nephew came over the other day and was playing my gorgar. He is autistic so he was just jamming on the flippers and blew my silinoid fuse. Any idea what could be wrong?

Check the diodes on the flipper coils.. Might of come loose/off..

Alright who got the Banzai Run for $80 up in Petosky, Michigan?

#549 9 years ago

Lol, Banzai Run is back on the market and only $2,800.. Ron, I figured the chances of that guy not knowing anything about that machine were slim to none. Especially knowing that he beat you and me on the phone call to get it.. My brother in law lives in Indiana River and I was going to have him pick it up for me.. Oh well the guy got a steal of a deal. Can't get them all..

#551 9 years ago
Quoted from RonB:

Yeah I'm not surprised, guess he knew more than he was letting on or he did some research.
That's the one alright, that's his phone # and I remember now the backglass is missing. One thing I thought wasn't right, he loaded it into his open pickup truck without any cover in the pouring rain. Not sure but I don't think driving in pouring rain for a few hours is too good for a pin.
Oh well, I guess the lure of easy money is hard to resist. I would have at least gotten everything working and played it for a while before selling/trading.

He even told you he was from West Branch? I noticed the FS add is in Oxford down here by me.. Man he drove along ways that morning to go get it..

Had a great time tonight at Clay's Pinball Museum. Clearly the best place to play pinball in Michigan.
