Everybody that bought the LE....

Does anybody really think there's 3500$ more pinball in that machine compared to the pro?

Lead (Pb) has been in pinball machines for 100 years, although Europe and other countries won't accept electronics with lead, so it's interesting to see that label. I thought stern did away with lead solder and lead trace when Europe put the rohs ban into effect years ago. This is the first time I have ever seen this label on a stern game. Wonder what stern is doing for exporting this game?
Quoted from Thunderbird:Being 30 years in the medical profession you are very naive to think PB compounds in your machine is a good thing. They are super dangerous and if my table arrives with that label, I will be rethinking the game, even though I love the gameplay, layout, theme, flow, toys, etc. Will be contacting Stern about this one directly. No Stern NIB machine I’ve received to date has had that warning label. I don’t agree with many things Cali does, but on this one, they are right.
Some part unique to this game was changed and now it has lead in it so they are mandated to put the sticker on the box. Only Stern knows what part. Again that will have to change if they are exporting it to any country with a ROHS ban.
Quoted from Thunderbird:If it is only in the solder, then that is not as bad as I thought, although still not good. Do you think the solder is what it is referring to?
I was thinking it was referring to PF composition? But you think it is solder only?
That’s better than a number !
Quoted from estrader:Good point. FWIW I dont have playfield art around my post.
This will work great but Stern should send you the coil stops if the one you have is defective. Until people push back and get new ones from Stern, the coil stop issue will continue. Stern won't see its a recurring issue if everyone fixes it themselves. It's different if the stops are years old, but for a brand new game that's unacceptable to have to buy a coil stop.
Quoted from J-Freeze:Order 3, you probably don't want sterns at this point.

Why would you do that? The sound update is original .95 code with sounds changed. Updating to .95 with the stern files is redundant.
Quoted from MrMikeman:You update to .95 with the Stern files, then do this sound update.
When you load the .95 stern rom in pinball browser, and apply the macros (and supply the sounds you want to change), and save the new rom, it will be the same as the stern .95 rom with sounds replaced. nothing else is changed. The point is, you do not have to update your game before making the modification. You simply update your game with the modified rom (.95).
All firmware updates are included with the modified rom, no different from the original rom.
Quoted from MrMikeman:They way I understood pinball browser is that you load the NEW code (.95) in PB, apply the macros (change the sounds), then create an update file, which will only contain the changes from the original code (.95). Therefore to apply the sound changes you need to start with the .95 code.
Maybe I am wrong...
However, as AUKraut mentioned, there are other firmware updates(node boards) included which may not make it through the PB update file?
Is there a PB expert around here?
