Been playing a ton of JP on location and am planning to purchase one this coming spring with my bonus. This will be our family's first pin! I have read on here that people are purchasing subs and connecting them to enhance the sound. I plan to put this pin in our home theater room. Is it possible to hook these up the the room's surround sound speakers? If so, that would be really cool. I haven't read of anyone doing that on here so I am guessing that it isn't really an option. Thanks for any info you can share.

Quoted from Braindance:

Ran into the coil stop rivet blowout. Just ordered a ton of backups, but plundered my Munsters for the moment to keep Jurassic Park up and running. I also ordered a couple different types of flipper rubbers to try out, as the soft red ones included are degrading. Probably coming up on a thousand plays soon, so overall everything seems to be holding up well otherwise. New pinballs from the Ball Baron also really make a nice difference. Can't get enough of this game!

Apologies for the noob question here, but can someone explain the benefits of upgrading the actual pinballs? Does this somehow impact gameplay? Do different aftermarket balls hold up better over time (e.g. reduced finish scratching/denting)? Are they weighted differently? I have seen multiple people mention this before and thought I would ask the question here. Thanks!

Future owner here. Still on the fence between pro and premium. For those of you who originally experienced issues with the T-REX not grabbing the ball 100% of the time how easy and reliable is the needed adjustment? Are we talking a relatively quick fix to permanently lock in a 95% (or above) grab success rate, or it it somewhat of a complex adjustment and unreliable in terms of fixing the issue? I also believe I read somewhere here that each code iteration has the potential of taking it back out of alignment. I really do like the additional features of the premium however am currently leaning towards a pro if the additional mechanisms are relatively unreliable. Would love some insight from you premium/LE owners who have experienced the issue and have made the adjustment to the T-Rex mechanism. Thanks!

Put this in the Pro thread yesterday...

Could someone do me a solid and measure the dimensions (LxWxH) of the playfield truck? I do not currently own this pin but am already planning my mods for when I put my order in. Thanks a ton!

Not sure if this is something that is easy to remove from the newton ball assembly or not. If so, knowing the weight of the stock truck would be very helpful to know as well.

Love this community and have enjoyed living vicariously through all of your unboxing and mod stories on this thread!

Looking for some help eliminating 2 areas that are currently causing stuck balls. One area is on the end of the gate into the pops. Seems to get hung up here a lot. In area 2, the plastic ceiling between the control room target and the raptor target seems to sag and really cause stuck balls. Shaking to the point of tilting doesn’t even budge it. Would love to know how to fix both of these. Thanks!

FINALLY solved my auto launch rejects from the helipad horseshoe. After trying 1, then 2, then 3 washers in the left fork of the shooter lane I was not having any luck. Still getting rejects 20% of time. Used slow-mo video to see where ball was getting hung up. This allowed me to notice what I assume was a manufacturing defect with my particular pin. The circled ball guide below on mine was tucked between the helipad ramp and the side rail of the game. I checked other forum photos and sure enough, it looks like it needed to be pulled out. Using a small flathead screwdriver I was able to pry it out. Game has never shot smoother, and I’m at 100% success rate. Please check this area if you are having problems. 2nd two photos show what it looks like now.
