When I make a fast shot to the Trex ramp it is not registering. The opto is working but not registering really fast shots. The opto looks like it is aligned properly, anything else to check? These are shots when Trex is up out of the way.
Quoted from Jahkub:I also encountered problems with the opto on the T-Rex ramp, specifically the ramp exit opto. The rear most board wasn't properly aligned with the hole in the ramp and was causing fast shots not to register. The problem was with the plastic ramp mounting point being more than 90 degrees to the side of the ramp with the hole, causing the opto to be tilted downward slightly and pointing too low. My fix was to loosen the opto board and then shim between the ramp and the board and then tighten it back up. This pivoted the board so that it's now square with the side of the ramp.
Here's an exaggerated image to clarify.

Edit: It's really easy to check the alignment if you pull the playfield all the way out onto the service rails and then pick up the playfield by the handle on the back. Just lift until you can get a good view of the alignment of the board, you might even need to shim it the other way.
I shimmed it like in the picture and has registered every time so far 15 games.
Quoted from Aetos:Which flipper rubber do you think is the best for this game? I want to try superbands or titans.
There are a lot of opinions on this subject but I really like superbands.
Inclinometers are ok, but I would make micro adjustments on the rear leg levellers until the game plays right for you. I have never found that inclinometers were enough to set games up to my preference. In other words, save your money.
Quoted from Flynnyfalcon:Really comes down to the lighting in the room. If it’s well placed and the right brightness, there’s no need, especially so if you have anti reflective glass.
But in a dark room, extra lighting be it Pinstadiums, Omegas, DIY, spot lights or whatever really help lift those shadows. So much easier on your eyes as well.

I have pin stadiums on a few of my games but in my opinion this game does not need them, If you’re having a hard time seeing on this machine I’d hate to see you play any game in low light. Obviously this is totally an opinion thing but I love Pinstadiums on many of my games, but I would never waste my money putting it on this one.
Quoted from Eskaybee:One other thing to consider is the left screw on the ramp flap entering the tower. I’ve heard removing it (replace with Mylar) will vastly improve the shot. After having my game nearly a week, I’m starting to notice all the rejects from that shot and it does ‘seem’ like it in fact is because of that screw. I plan to remove mine soon - I would have done it already but don’t have the right type of screwdriver to get to it.
I removed the ramp flap completely, no mylar, about 200 games and no wear.
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Yellow & black combined would look good, I think. Would support a caution theme approach. Even so, personally I would still switch over to Titan silicone rings instead of rubber.
IMO Titans regular flipper silicone is way to bouncy, their low bounce ones are very similar to Super Bands. If going with Titans, and you have never tried the low bounce Titan flipper silicone, give 'em a try.
Quoted from seenev:This game is hard
Put it on 5 ball, the game became a lot more fun for our family when we did this.
Quoted from zr11990:It is hard. I am not a great player and the game is hard for me, especially the set trap shots behind the truck. I do get frustrated but it is exactly what I wanted which is a deep game with lots of stuff to do that would be hard to finish. Lets face it, I will never finish it. I havnt gotten past three dino paddocks yet. I love the game but sometimes I just turn it off and walk away thinking I should have bought Turtles, which I am saving for.
TMNT is just as difficult, and a lot faster! The Borg left outlane will have you cursing in no time.
Quoted from R_O_S_S:Has anyone had problems where the ball doesn’t roll out from the raptor trap when the door goes down? It gets stuck on the left side and you have to shake the machine for it to come out? See picture for example. Really slows down that intense multi ball! Any ideas on this? Any adjustments that can be made?

I also had this problem. It is easy to adjust, lift up the Playfield and you should be able to figure it out.
