I've been lurking on pinside for a while, but this pin caused me to finally get an account and start interacting here. I got LE #36 and have been enjoying it every chance I get. It's the most fun I've had playing pinball, no question about it. I have it at a bit of a mean pitch, and the tilt is what I believe to be at a challenging setting but still fair. I stayed up all night last week and got a nice score. I love this game!!

Ran into the coil stop rivet blowout. Just ordered a ton of backups, but plundered my Munsters for the moment to keep Jurassic Park up and running. I also ordered a couple different types of flipper rubbers to try out, as the soft red ones included are degrading. Probably coming up on a thousand plays soon, so overall everything seems to be holding up well otherwise. New pinballs from the Ball Baron also really make a nice difference. Can't get enough of this game!

Quoted from jacksparrow0112:

Apologies for the noob question here, but can someone explain the benefits of upgrading the actual pinballs? Does this somehow impact gameplay? Do different aftermarket balls hold up better over time (e.g. reduced finish scratching/denting)? Are they weighted differently? I have seen multiple people mention this before and thought I would ask the question here. Thanks!

I was skeptical when ordering them, but they weren't expensive, so I thought I'd try them. I notice smoother shots and combos, less airballs, and more accuracy and speed. I have switched them out on four games now. The difference is palpable, and it is my new standard.

Had a couple good billion point games before work yesterday. I keep learning new things about this game. The only real complaint I have is when I'm rocking a multiball, getting all the shots, and the game loses track of number of balls, thus ending my ball when I still have one or two balls in play. I'm sure it will be fixed in a code update.

On another note, what do you guys find to be the most difficult aspect of this game? I can blow up the multiballs and get super jackpots, but getting four dinos is proving tough.

Anyone have suggestions on tightening the posts which have screws covered by the bracket or whatever which holds the coil? I'd prefer to not have to unscrew something directly screwed into the playfield on a regular basis. I suppose there might be some super tiny pliers out there to squeeze into the tiny space and grab the nut while turning the screw from above the playfield.

Quoted from AUKraut:

A real thin open end wrench will fit under the flipper base plate to hold the locknut there while you tighten the screw from above the playfield.

This is a good idea, thank you.

Quoted from Red_Devils:

I had Titans on the flippers but felt they were a little too "bouncy" so I've put on Perfect Play rubbers on the flippers, so far I'm liking them they are not as bouncy as the Titans and seem to give a little more control, but as they say each to their own

I also put the perfect play ones on my flippers. They have great bounce and control. This game is so good, I am playing it every chance I get.

I was also wondering about any bugs people may have noticed. I have mine in a bar and it's very popular, so I don't want to annoy players with any issues. I saw a couple people mention the skill shot not hitting. Anything else worth noting?

My T rex seems to have trouble closing her mouth. When i manually move the jaw, it sounds like the rubber exterior pieces are rubbing together, making too much friction to let the mouth close easily. It doesn't affect game play too much, just drops the ball a bit early sometimes. It seems the clearance between the rubber pieces is super tight and the rubber might have changed shape almost imperceptibly, but enough to cause resistance. Any ideas for an easy fix? Thanks in advance.

Quoted from chubtoad13:

I just fixed this issue. My TRex worked great for a few months and then all of a sudden the mouth wouldn’t close as fast as it used to. Manually opening and closing the mouth felt like the jaw was rubbing and getting stuck when it got to the fully open position.
The solution was a washer inside the mouth between the top of the mouth and the bracket. Essentially raising the top of the TRex just enough to allow the clearance the jaw requires.
You could probably bend the bracket and achieve the same result. I tried the spacer before bending anything because it’s easier to remove a washer than bend a bracket back if it didn’t work.

I will have to look into this. Thank you for the reply.
