Quoted from adamross:

The omegas are just diffused version of the pin stadium lights? Any other difference? Seems like these would be better option for any game over the traditional lights.

Omegas are not full RGB, just different whites. If you don’t care about the color GI, then they are a great option. For most games, I would go Omegas.

Once someone gets this can you post a review? Not sure how I feel about an external light on the rod.

Added a chopper. Its balanced perfect on the chopper blades.
Next up is replacing the jeep![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Did you get the powder coat on the rails beforehand or wait until you had the game and send them out?

For those that have a JP, would just a better paint job be enough to improve the T-Rex you think? Or does it truly need a complete new model to look decent? Or now that you have played it enough, does it not bother you?

Got my Premium this morning. Now the agonizing wait to get help here to move it down to the basement. Must say the left side artwork on this cab is better than I was expecting. Nicely done. Box was in perfect condition.

So everything looks great. Ball launch is fine. Playfield is good. Did not test the wiring on targets yet. But we do have issues with the Trex capturing the ball properly. What it looks like to me is it is a bit angled left. We adjust in software to the right and his jaw hits the ramp. If it stays there, it doesn’t come down low enough. If it comes down the rest of the way the ramp will push it left. So I think it is a mounting angle and position issue. It needs to be physically adjusted to shift left and then we can software angle it back to the right.

Anybody run in to this and try to shift the Trex yet?

Quoted from sk8ball:

It needs to be a clean shot but in no way should be "hard". Do you have a video you can post?
There are numerous adjustments both in-menu and physically. You can fine tune the home position bias to make sure it is coming down in the center of the ramp (the last 3 game adjustments are for this)
There is also a physical height adjustment on the vertical motor bracket. The jaw should just barely make contact with the ramp. To test go into diag-game-vertical motor test. Lower the trex to the lowest position. If you hit the start button the jaw will toggle open and close.
If the ball goes into the mouth but doesn't grab try removing the spacers on the clear roof plastic at the front of the ramp. This is there to make sure the ball trips the ramp optic in order to fire the mouth magnet.

For my Trex, removing the spacer washer from the ceiling of the ramp did the trick. Would never have guessed that one. When I get a clean shot, for the most part Trex grabs the ball now. Thanks for the key posts! Now on to the raptor pit.

Just got my game!
Mostly great out of the box, but trying to adjust the helicopter since it's hitting the wireform pretty hard. I initially thought it was due to this standoff being raised, but tightening that down is putting a lot of pressure on the wireform. It's shorter than the others nearby, but that might be intentional to raise the helicopter up. Can someone check/confirm the length of this standoff for me? What's it supposed to be? Thanks![quoted image]

I know that one is shorter, was just playing around with it. Top of switch should be level with plastic and 1/4 inch under blades.

Based on some discussions here, set the angle a bit steeper To 7.1*. Now I can hit the helipad and all the upper loops much easier but I am having problems hitting the ramps! Hoping to find a sweet spot somewhere between 6.5 and 7.1. We shall see.

Fixed the raptor gate, just an easy adjustment as the ball was getting hung up in the gate. Just the set screws underneath. Next to fix the raptor getting stuck on the plastic.

But knock on wood, just tweaks at this point. Nothing too serious.

Quoted from ctl723:

My Trex is crashing into the left side of the fence. Not super hard, but enough to bend the wires. I'm not super concerned about her breaking it, but more about long term damage to her paint on that side. Aside from that, the alignment seems great on the center + jaw, so I'm hesitant to adjust things here. Would just changing the left side bias fix this, or would it throw other things out of whack with the center point? From the best I can tell, the fence is attached properly and there isn't a good way to move it further away. Anybody else having this issue?

Yep, and it seems the bias settings don’t fix the issue. Tried about everything and it still hits.

No major issues yet. Unfortunately doesn't seem to fix the trex hitting the fence though. Easy update.

Quoted from TinyBlackDog:

Any change will likely be psychological - I know that going in. After watching Bowen nail both half-loops with ease last night, I know I just need to play better.
Won't stop me from swapping out the screws though...

I was watching Buffalo play before DeadFlip and was just about to complain that I just can't get JP to flow as well, then I switched over and saw Bowen just destroy it. Yeah, need more practice on this one.

Man, I want to love this game but it just kicks my butt. Can’t seem to get the timing right and just brick so many shots. Although I went back to my Star Wars today that is usually really tough and I set a new GC.

The alternate sounds brought this game back from the brink for me. Awesome job. It will now stay in my collection for the foreseeable future. I am putting in the last mods like trees, maybe a goat, etc. Still need to figure out which art blades I like.

Did anyone ever figure out the T-Rex hitting the left tower? Last I tried, the travel settings did not seem to fix when T-Rex shakes his head side to side.

Quoted from Inpw:

I actually prefer the shape of the stock T-Rex. Lior's version looks kind of... dopey, I suppose. Something's off with the ridge above its eyes. Agree that it's overpriced. The texture and detail is amazing, though. I considered it for a moment, but ultimately passed. Looking forward to what he has in store for the Raptor.

Yeah, it is just the eye size and shape. A bit too big and the top eyelid makes it a little bit cartoonish. But agreed, was really torn on getting it or not. Overall glad that people are doing high end mods like this and not shying away. Good for pinball and collectors. I like making my pins my own so who cares what anyone else thinks. Go for it if you like it.

#7486 2 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

Should the T-Rex reliably drop the ball on the wireform to its right? Sometimes it clearly positions itself over that wireform and drops it on perfectly, sometimes it drops it to the left of that ramp & it falls to the playfield in front of the T-Rex ramp.

Yes, every time mine works perfectly unless you go to rampage and it chucks it wherever.

Well, I just played another game. Been hitting JP hard lately. I find it is similar to my first experience with SW. It is a very tight game that forces you to get good at it. As stated before, the geometry is just a bit different from other games. But now that I am hitting the shots it is certainly a fun game. Just one of those games for me I have to play a ton to get the timing down otherwise I just brick everything. But I like the challenge and with the movie assets loaded, it is fantastic. Now a long time keeper in my small collection.
