Knock, knock, can I join the club? I just got a JP Prem yesterday - my first Stern Spike game....scary!
I still have some dialing in to do and a lot to learn about the rules...but I played so much yesterday, my hands hurt!

I've been looking at the key posts for T-Rex tweaks, but didn't see anything about this:
Should the T-Rex reliably drop the ball on the wireform to its right? Sometimes it clearly positions itself over that wireform and drops it on perfectly, sometimes it drops it to the left of that ramp & it falls to the playfield in front of the T-Rex ramp.
Also, on the fist T-Rex hurry up, sometimes the ball sets off the sensor in the mouth, but the magnet doesn't catch it. It still starts the mode...but I noticed on the 2nd T-Rex encounter, if the sensor is tripped & the T-Rex bites but doesn't catch the ball, the mode won't start...it definitely wants you to get that ball caught in there. Any tips to get the magnet to definitely "suck" the ball in when the mouth sensor is tripped?
Thanks!
Quoted from VillaThrills:Yes, every time mine works perfectly unless you go to rampage and it chucks it wherever.
Hm, so if it’s not adjusting itself to be in the right spot every time, I wonder if I should be looking at the settings or something physical?
Quoted from EaglePin:Top view and side view pics of that spot. Hope they help.

Ohp, that's it! Not sure if it fell out or was never there - but I had a screw like that and just put it in...now it's working much better & drops the ball on the wireform correctly!
Thanks a lot!
Quoted from zr11990:Does the LE version of this game have colored GI and the premium white only. I see pics with other colors
No, LE & Prem always have the same features/LEDs.
Quoted from Munsters:Should i also use flat screws for more successful autoplunges?[quoted image]
I was thinking about trying the same thing.
Quoted from JMCFAN:I removed them and replaced with the carbon fiber ramp mat from Cliffy
Are these just adhesive? Any worry about them popping off?
Quoted from VillaThrills:Well, I just played another game. Been hitting JP hard lately. I find it is similar to my first experience with SW. It is a very tight game that forces you to get good at it. As stated before, the geometry is just a bit different from other games. But now that I am hitting the shots it is certainly a fun game. Just one of those games for me I have to play a ton to get the timing down otherwise I just brick everything. But I like the challenge and with the movie assets loaded, it is fantastic. Now a long time keeper in my small collection.
It’s definitely a “shooters game”. Shots are plentiful but tight. The game can feel like a brick fest or the smoothest game ever depending on how you’re playing. Wouldn’t shock me if casuals or new players don’t care for it. I’m not that good at it yet, but I’m really enjoying it. Furthest I’ve gotten is the T-Rex paddock….but I’ve hit the quadruple skill shot a few times and man that feels good.
Quoted from zr11990:It is hard. I am not a great player and the game is hard for me, especially the set trap shots behind the truck. I do get frustrated but it is exactly what I wanted which is a deep game with lots of stuff to do that would be hard to finish. Lets face it, I will never finish it. I havnt gotten past three dino paddocks yet. I love the game but sometimes I just turn it off and walk away thinking I should have bought Turtles, which I am saving for.
I think when we get there, or even just get a little further, it will feel very rewarding. I think this game has lots of little rewarding shots all around...like the trap shots - dang, it just feels good when you nail one! Or the smart missile - you really deserve that reward if you get it, and it makes you feel great!
Quoted from yzfguy:You got a thumbs down for that?
Blocked stalker's gonna stalk. *shrug*
Quoted from Lounge:The rules are very complex so there’s no real way of simplifying them.
However, this might help a little….

Ooooh snap, I didn't know the truck direction changed which inlane was lit! This game is crazy lol
Quoted from JohnTTwo:I am not a very good player so I struggle to even get CHAOS in one game and then can't always hit the red target to get multiball going.
Is there a fairly simple sheet that lays this game out for a shitty player?
It's just a tough game...I think I'm a good player, and it's tough! T-Rex is an easier goal - just hit the truck a bunch of times, then get the ball to the T-Rex. Raptor Multiball is just hitting the raptor cage a bunch.
I wouldn't worry about the mega deep complex stuff...just try to get as far through the park as you can. Once you get a hang of it, progressing through the park is pretty clear.
1. White shots qualify the map...hit white shot on the T-Rex ramp to start a Paddock mode. (Change the direction of the truck before starting to choose the paddock you're going to)
2. The moving green shot is the Dino. Hit it to slow it down with a tranq, or hit the lockdown bar button to tranq without hitting the shot.
3. While in the Paddock mode, rescue people, then hit the yellow target to set a trap.
4. Hit the yellow insert to capture the Dino
Repeat! On to the next paddock!
Time flies! I’ve had my JP Prem for almost 3 months, and it’s been my go-to game! Today I took out the T-Rex to do a little tinkering. I was pleased to see how easily the whole mech is removed! Put it back, I think I played for like 3 hours straight today. When I bought this game, I thought it would be a “rotation spot” & I’d sell it after a few months….
Nah. Nope. BOLTED.
This game is so F’ing good and just gets better the more I play it. Design, rules, feel, flow, excitement, satisfaction - this game is just a masterpiece of cohesive pinball design. Everything about it is perfection. I can’t believe I dismissed it at launch…I’ve already apologized for that, but can’t help but think how I could have missed out on this experience due to judging a book by its cover.
This might be one of the best games ever made.
The other day I hit the truck Newton ball & it ricocheted directly into the T-Rex’s mouth! In the same game, I somehow shot the ball from the upper flipper into the T-Rex’s mouth! Two weird firsts in one game!
Quoted from BenB:I picked up a premium this week and am really enjoying it. It is my first modern game. and I am wondering when the up post catches the ball in the “C” shot, the post drops and the ball goes right down the middle. Should this land on the left flipper? Right flipper tip?
Consistently to the left flipper on mine.
