Any word on if the end-of-July JP Premiums have started shipping yet? I think the Amber rods gots pushed to October, but I hope the actual JPs are still in schedule.

Quoted from Drac:

Hi guys,
I've had my premium for around a month or so now and loving the game. However I have some big frustrations in making the Control Room shot and the Tower ramp shot.
I just had a game and focused on just shooting the Control Room shot. Over the 3 balls I had maybe 10 shots go all the up to the target but just not quite make it. The ball just bounces between both rails and falls short. It seems the only time I make this shot is when I'm not aiming for it. Anyone else have struggles on this?
The tower shot I have removed the left ramp flap screw, put Cliffy's carbon fibre ramp flaps on and also took the roof off the tower and put the ramp rails on the outside of the scoop. Nothing seems to work. The ball goes up into the scoop and comes back down. I would estimate 1 in 10 shots makes the ramp.
I'm hoping for suggestions. Has anyone else been in my position and solved the problem?
Thanks for any help.

Did you check that the habit trail is fitted properly inside the raptor tower? On same games it's on the wrong side of the ramp, and makes it almost impossible for the ball to carry through properly.

I just got word that my JP premium left Stern today and is on its way to my dealer! I'm sure this is true for others waiting.

Get yours yet? Anyone else heard that theirs is shipping? My dealer told me early August, and now we're veering very close to mid-August. I'd rather not pester him and be that impatient guy if possible.

Quoted from demandecan55:

Just got my JP Premium yesterday after saving for a long time. I have 2 issues with mine so far:
1) Helicopter blades don’t spin. When the ball hits they move a tiny amount, then align themselves so the are out of the rail and can’t be hit. I adjusted the screw so the blades would spin freely, but sadly the screw is self tightening and goes back to being tight and hard to spin.
2) T-Rex doesn’t grab the ball. I read about it being a magnet, but it’s a bummer it’s not working. It has worked one out of ~8 times, ans that was the 1st or 2nd time I got it there. I do get the multiball, and he chews, but the ball just rolls right down.
I think I have other adjustment issues too, but those are the big ones.
Oh and my actually pinballs that came with it are terrible, and had sticky gunk/tape all over them. One or two looked used for my NIB game. However I am determined to get it fixed and have fun, and what does work, seems great. Would appreciate some advice.

Helicopter blades are a common issue. Usually involves loosening a plate under the pf that is too close to the shift of the blades.

Quoted from Lounge:

Stern would have to recode for the new boards and then manage four versions of code. JP spike 2 pro/premium and JP [new node board] pro/premium.
There’s no way they would do that. The time, effort, and expense - not to mention the support nightmare is counter intuitive and would destroy the bottom line.

Luckily, latest reports are that the current run is still fully compatible with timlah's custom movie code. So hopefully that bodes well for future runs too.

‐‐-----------------------

On another positive note, I just got word from my distro today that my JP Premium should be showing up Monday! I am super pumped, because I didn't think I'd make this month's cut, since my distro's allotment got cut like everyone elses.

I'm in the club as of Tuesday!

I had some help during the unboxing.

Unfortunately, my game wasn't 100% out of the box. I'll post up a rundown of the good and bad later.

Quoted from uccash:

DakotaMike pretty jealous, I have had mine on order for 6 weeks now and have been told I might not even get it this year. Just curious, how long from order to delivery did it take you? Enjoy the game!

Hi, just over a month from payment to delivery. Gave me time to order all my mods and accessories!

And yeah, I was super lucky to find a dealer who still had games incoming that weren't spoken for. Although not so lucky because one of my ramp optos is faulty. So I haven't been able to really play yet. But hopefully, Stern will get the part to me soon.

Finally in the club! I had some issues out of the box, and didn't want to post until my game was actually working. My main issue was that the exit ramp opto-sensor was bad out-of-the-box, and I didn't have any spares on hand. Took about 3 weeks to get the part from Stern. I should have just ordered one myself while I was waiting. But lesson learned.

Game is shooting very smooth and everything is working well now. Time to start putting on all the fun mods and accessories!

I think the topper looks pretty nice in person, and it's got some nice lighting effects that don't come across in photos. Plus, I think stylistically it works best on the Premium. On the LE, it mirrors the art too much.

Quoted from timlah79:

Bumping this conundrum to see if anyone has had an issue like this with their T-Rex magnet/hold?

Sorry, can't help out, but good luck Tim! Sounds like maybe a wire or connection is loose, and when the Trex moves a certain way power is cut to the magnet? Just a guess.

Quoted from rhampo:

So I am too cheap to buy the 35Euro Pteranodon mod https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1338-pino-pinball-mods-shop/05234-pteranodon
I found this one on Amazon for 10 bucks. amazon.com link »
Drilled a small hole into his body and mounted him with a piece of AWG 14 wire and voila!
The wire is flimsy enough that he shakes around - kind of like he is flying - it is a cool effect.
Now I have money left for a beer.
Cheers!

Hi, if anyone is looking for the official topper from Stern, I have one that I'll sell for cost. Just PM me.

EDIT: Sold

So after I sold my JP, I ended up with a few extra mod bits that I never got around to installing. I've got the Jada Jeep and also the Matchbox helicopter. I'll sell them both for my cost plus shipping to you.

Jeep is $35+Shipping and the Helicopter is $50+shipping. These were VERY hard to come by this late in the JP Mod game!

Quoted from Flash71:

Could you send me a closeup of the helicopter please? Thanks! Pm is fine if you don’t mind. Appreciate it.

Sorry, all ready sold the helicopter, but the Jada Jeep is still available.
