Legs are Green. That sucks.
Cool little mod, met the guy that runs filament printing at expo and he was super nice. He was selling these with a black face and green base. I contacted him asking if he could print me a black on translucent pair so I could light them up with green LED’s and I think it came out pretty well!

I received a signed limited edition apron with my premium.
Does that count?

Manufactured on a Friday(27 Sep).. *eye roll*. Other things that I consider minor:
Found loose screws in box and in cabinet. Plastic had come undone to the left of the T-Rex.
Flippers are not even. One is too low.
Not a big deal to adjust. But the legs. F#$*...

Quoted from Hogey:Response from Chas at Stern:
Hi John,
This is set thru the game software. We don’t have any adjustments for this but you can check the operation of the T-rex in diagnostics. Go to game specific test for this. There will be updates so the T-rex more when these are finished.

Worked through a number of "tries" to fix the T Rex ball drop issue with Pablo at Stern. He got together with the engineers and they were struggling trying to find a solution. My buddy came over today and after some discussion, loosened the screws holding the bracket for the the T Rex in place, shifted it as best we could and put a piece of flipper rubber between the bracket and the backboard to force it right a bit, and tightened the screws back down. The ball is now dropping as it should. All good. Thanks for the help all.

Well it's a easy fix. I bet they say keep the black ones.
Some machines we have seen had to be sent back, or people settled for a small ding like me.
Quoted from bemmett:Ya it looks great, I got the "LE style" with the added green.[quoted image]
I am a little slow. I have an LE and orderd a topper as well. Is the "LE Style" really a thing? If not how did you add the green?

What you think of the 3D fan JP??
Question.... where is the setting to make the initials / names for the records longer than 3 characters??
So I'm all setup. I got really lucky - no issues on the pf that I can see and everything appears to be working correctly. Game is awesome. New code really beefs up the effects and music seems better. Call outs still week but that will be corrected soon. Could be Stern's best. Art on the premium felt like a higher quality decal... Super smooth.
Side blades, lit shooter, pinstadium without the stripes, Shaker, just waiting on topper. Didn't go with Stern blades bc I just don't like the super zoomed in dino eye and the armor seemed excessive with the jp logo. Otherwise I pretty much went crazy haha

I picked up my premium today and got it setup and everything seems good to go. I really can’t see anything wrong with the playfield so pretty happy about that. The only thing wrong was the leaf switch was installed wrong for the lockdown botton so I couldn’t auto launch but fixed that in a quick minute.

Just got mine set up... I have to take apart my pins to get them up my curved staircase so it's an all day affair... Added some mods, some more still in the way... But man oh man, such a sweet game... Finally got it running and let my daughters have a go... They were blown away... The TREX is a huge hit... catches every ball we shoot at it!!! Everything is perfect, playfield, cabinet, and my God, the premium art work is amazing.. love love love the translite in person... This one's never leaving!!!

They'll send you the correct ones and tell you to keep the black ones. So you got an extra set of legs for nothing. Not the end of the world considering some of their other recent problems.

Yeah. Had a quick look at the playfield and seemed good. It’s a bit dark in my basement. And frankly i was too busy playing to care lol.
Not sure my velociraptor is moving when I hit those targets will check tonight. It was freely moving by hand.
Got a 436k score yesterday but not a clue about what i was doing. Shoot the flashing lights! I think i may have started CHAOS multiball. It got pretty crazy. Lol
Lovin the game.

Did you remove the "Tournament Start" button or did it come like that?? (just below the regular start button).
So am I the only one who opened the goodie bag? Everybody I know seems to leave them stapled in the machine and even buying another manual so as not to open the bag.. Really??
I've never actually paid MORE for a used game just because the bag was still there.. And in Canada with the exchange rate and taxes I paid nearly $14k for my LE which was my first NIB. No way I'm letting someone else get the goodies!! Bag removed and opened. Plus I want the key fobs for my keys anyway.
Was that a bad thing??
Quoted from MrMikeman:Did you remove the "Tournament Start" button or did it come like that?? (just below the regular start button).
US games don't include a tourney button. Games shipped to Canada do. I'm not really sure what the strange reasoning is for that, but it's been that way for years. I'm not sure about international games.
In any case, being a US customer and not getting it included stings a bit less now since the tourney button sticks out the way it does. The way they were indented in the SAM cabinets was much better and I always considered it a very simple, but obvious, oversight by people spending $100s on mods and not paying the extra $5 to add the tourney button and instead having an ugly square black plug on the front of their games. Seems crazy that people used to pay $100+ for a tourney system for the games and now folks don't pay the extra $5 to enable the tourney system that is already included in every game. Almost as crazy as Stern saving the less than $5 to not include the button on every game.
PS: Let the Tourney button rant go on: Why have they still not implemented a setting where you can have a game set on free play normally, but have a per play tourney running also? It would be great for parties. You could play for free if you would like or pay in to the tourney that was running for a chance at some friendly cash prizes. It's been mentioned for years....but still no implementation as far as I have seen.

Those art blades look way better than I thought they would, they match the back board really well too.

It's one of those things that people use as a selling point ("Goodie bag still stapled to cab!"), but I don't actually think anyone really cares in the end. I wouldn't worry about it.
Question for this group-
I'm not aware of any BARE PLAYFIELD differences between the LE and Premium JP2 models. Yet... Stern has two different part numbers for these. What am I missing? Thanks in advance!
Marc

$5K by Christmas!
Call it absurd, as I truly believe it is as well, but I have had multiple buyers that wouldn't pay my price being goodie bag was removed from the cabinet on a newer game being one of their reasons. My personal opinion is I don't even want to deal with those people and honestly it helps weed out someone I probably prefer not to deal with anyway. But it does matter to some. I typically just leave mine there now cause most everything in them isn't something I even care about anyway.

Probably just people using it as leverage for bargaining. If not, like you said, probably not worth dealing with those types of people. They'll be the ones coming by and nitpicking every single detail trying to haggle the price down along the way.

I suppose I could put a how-to together. But honestly, it was more involved than I hoped. I had to flip the tail blades to the other side, perfectly drill out the top and bottom while keeping it square, and modify the bottom of the copter in 5 places. I was hoping at that point it'd just slip onto the plastic bushing, but no...
The plastic bushing had to be removed and modified too. That was the hardest part. All doable, obviously, but not as straight forward as I hoped. (If it wasn't for that, it would literally be a two screw installation from the top.
I also left in those two posts as an air-ball protector, but I may remove them (or shorten them) if it isn't an issue. Total cost - 9 bucks and 4 hours.
Anybody know the size of the playfield hanger screw that secures the apron to the hanger?? Looks to be at least a #10 in size, discovered mine was missing one of them......
Quoted from PtownPin:That shooter rod looks awesome....is it lite? Looks like theres LED's on the shooter plate?
Yes, there are 2 LED's that project from the shooter plate just behind the rod. They hook up to the CN15 pinout on the Cab sideboard and all the cables are provided. They also include a shooter brace plate with special cutouts to route the wires through...Love it!!!

Update on my forever moving Trex head. It was the #68 step motor switch that was finicky/lose. I talked to Stern and was able to move it underneath the motor enough so it would engage it properly again. I shall see how long it keeps working. After that it worked fine but then the head would come down way off to the right of the ramp so I had to adjust the left bias to 2 and it’s working great again. I attached an image of the switch below the step motor for reference.
