My PIn is coming on a truck and will be here tomorrow. A little hiccup but tracking that bad boy. It's in AZ now and will be in Dallas .

How did a delivery to TX route through AZ when these things are coming out of IL?

Mine was put on a truck with some going out to the west coast. Worry is over.....play time now.

#1306 4 years ago

Royale-W-Cheese did you pay extra to get such a low number, or was it the luck of the draw?

#1307 4 years ago

My LE has been delivered and is in the house! Now I need to find the time to set it up!

Sup Chappie,

A little luck and also some loyalty. I bought 2 NIBS basically back to back and over 1k in mods and they said I would be part of the first batch they get of JP.

I was expecting somewhere in the top 50.....maybe 25.....pleasantly surprised after some hiccups along the way.

Customer for life.

So these just came in. Really happy with them.

I love the LE side art blades but rather not have that ugly monster truck. Well here is the answer.

Premium owners FYI

https://www.retrorefurbs.com/shop/jurassic-park-stern-pro-pinball-sideblades/

They have night time ones too but I think the blue matches the pf better
Retro refurbs nice job!

My machines are in a area near my kitchen and the glass seems to attract dirt, grease etc etc....constantly cleaning...driving me mad.

I dont want the traditional covers that some are saying makes them play the game less....no sunlight issues for me...overkill I think in my situation.

Anyone here gone with some basic blankets to just lay over glass, maybe even designs that match the game? Don't need fleece..lol

My favorite game since TWD. Been playing it non stop since set up!

Funny thing, I had no idea the truck spun around like it did. I went many games loving this thing and not figuring out how to change direction! LOL

I finally realized that the Truck had a rubber band to keep it in place so it would move during shipping that i never saw setting it up.

I guess it reminded me of that F ing captive ball shot on Iron maiden.

No wonder i had a tough time hitting missile shots and threading the ball to start Chaos MB.

Hi All,

Have you guys heard a buzzing noise when the pin is not in use?? I am in my living room and it comes on all the time.

Can I disable whatever it is??

Thanks for the help.

#1324 4 years ago

@iceman: on initial set-up, same thing happened on our first couple of games- we didn’t see that elastic band around the truck; and were wondering why we couldn’t change direction of the paddock path lol.

This pin is dominating all of our family’s playtime now- it offers such a fast, high adrenaline experience and yet can also be so very challenging.

Some games are over so fast but others, when we find our angles & shots, are just so seamless and satisfying. No doubt much more practice is required.

#1325 4 years ago

So, my head grabbed the ball a lot more when I first set it up. Now it doesn't grab it most of the time. Some of those times it sets off T-Rex MB, but the ball goes in the mouth and out. Didn't someone adjust the mouth opto in here? Wondering if this is what I should do and how much of a pain it is. I'm thinking the opto isn't tripping so the magnet isn't grabbing the ball.

This may sound silly, but can I turn off T-Rex and let it play like a pro? Save wear and tear on T-Rex mech. You know over time we all are going to have to fix that head.

Update: You can can go to Game Features and turn off T-rex vertical and it makes game work like a "pro." So, at least you can turn off to save mech usage or if you have a problem with T-Rex, you can temporarily turn off until you fix it.

I find that tough to understand. Play it, play it, play it til it falls offs onto the playfield. Then get it fixed and do it again.
The moving head on the Premium/LE is one of the main differences between the versions. Not sure why anyone would turn it off to save it for later use.

When the Trex finally dies , by then we will have some amazing new MOD to replace it...heck I bet someone is working on now it as we speak/type.

Is Stern shipping premiums yet?
Do any of you have one yet?
Thanks

It’s been said but a reminder to try lowering the flipper strength which has eliminated most Trex rejects. The core issue after would be a clean shot by the player.

Premium owners are in for a treat. Good luck!

Hey all. After just over 50 plays on my LE, all 3 of the flippers show a good amount of dent/wear at the same spot at the tip. Is this to be expected? Should the machine have shipped with silicone instead of natural rubber? Anyone else seeing this too?

Flipper Worn 10-13-19.jpgFlipper Worn 10-13-19.jpg
#1341 4 years ago

Seems a bit excessive for 50 plays if it’s home use, but games can vary - give a quick wipe down, consider replacing balls with rubber.
Im near triple the play count and other than a bit of dry wax, natural rubber is fine.

Thanks Vino ! Can you clarify what you mean about replacing balls with rubber? Rubber pinballs? Also, what wax do you suggest using to maintain the rubber on the flippers?

I replaced the rubbers on my acdc after a few weeks and they are perfect now with the silicone. I guess I better buy 3 for JP.

Brand new pinballs and stock flipper rubbers are good to have on hand (pinball life and Marco etc.)
A lot of opinions on wax, I use VERY small amount of one grand blitz on new rubbers but that’s it. (search “vids guide” on forum for best cleaning tips). Id give the playfield a quick wipe down and play.

It’s Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend.
I’m thankful to have a wife who enjoys playing pinball with me.
Not so thankful that she’s current GC after picking up the game on Friday.
My previous GC was way lower, at 503m.
Work to do!
