Any leads on finding scrolls for the back box? They were available a few months back on a couple sites, but currently I haven’t been able to source any. New or used. Thanx

Could someone please let Me know what parts build this little thing up.
I’m guessing 2 posts and some Spacers are underneath? Also need the top part. A link to Marcos or the likes, or part numbers, would be greatly appreciated. My game has just the two holes on the pf but the whole thing’s missing.

Original board has some battery leak. In the meantime I purchased a new board. Think I hooked it up right. Would anyone know why only the neon light turns on, together with the board leds, but nothing else? Do I need to change the dipsw “code” or leave as is? I tried coding it like the original, and also tried leaving them all off but it has made no difference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have had this game for exactly a yearNow but have yet to try switching on until today.

Spot on! Thank you. Now that it turns on, time to get to work. New ramps, replace lights, and then find out what else is wrong

If it wasn’t for your question I would have also had to ask. So you helped too.
Forgot to match the little mark on one side of the chip to the mark on the housing.

Anyone have experience with these blades? As far as installation, durability, and of course the WOW factor?
Haven’t been able to find anything else, and these look pretty neat. Are they High res or pixelated ?
Thanks

Could anyone help me find the part number/marcos for the item named “lift spring” in the photo? I can’t see it in the manual and I want to make sure I get the correct one. Thanks

Quoted from mc300baud:

looks like in the manual it's #5 in the diagram on page 2-27 (yeah, the pic doesn't make it all that obvious.)
standard jet/pop bumper spring, #10-517.

Thank you! The current one in the game is finiiiished. Couldn’t figure out just by comparing to a new one

#1682 2 years ago

Next im not sure regarding Part number for this carriage bolt there are so many sizes and lengths. Which would be the correct
One for front of cabinet? Since the other three don’t look great either I’ll just replace all Four if I’m Putting a new Order together.
Cheers

And just one more for today - Where can I find the metal piece on the other side (right) of the blue rubber? Is there a part Number?

Quoted from mc300baud:

those holes are for the mounts for the lockbar that B/W offered on later WPC games. i just checked mine and i think the carriage bolts in those slots are slightly longer than the ones that hold on the coin door, but that would only be important if you were going to install the lockbar and related brackets. you should be able to fill it with these (though you can look for similar elsewhere):
https://www.pinballlife.com/14-20-x-1-14-carriage-bolt.html
the originals likely didn't have any raised lettering on top but it's now pretty much impossible to get any new that don't; the only way to get around that is to grind them off and repaint which IMO isn't worth it.

oddly enough, i was reading backwards through this thread last night (starting on this page) looking for some other information and i came across this subject. apparently it's long since been discontinued, of course, but someone is making them. the big drawback for some is that it's without threads so you'll need to have a tap & die set to put the proper threads in yourself. i'm feeling too lazy to skim back at the moment, but the relevant posts are likely within the last 200 or so.

Thanks for your time and info. Great help in getting this beauty back to its former glory

Every day I ask a couple questions, get great help and implement the following day. (Games are in my office). As soon as I’m done I find the next thing.
And todays question is… I have an orphaned molex connector. I’m not even sure the others that are plugged (in photo) are correct, because not all of them have matching wires on both ends…
still, I can play around and figure those out but still there will be one with nothing to connect to. Is something here missing?

Quoted from jasonbar:

Nigh impossible to find.
I made my own, posted, and somebody on this thread commissioned me to make a small run, which he put up for sale. Do some digging here or in the marketplace.
Thanks,
Jason

Marcos has the same part but for the opposite side. Would it work if I put it on upside down, and drilled a hole on the other end?

Quoted from jasonbar:

I bought that part, carefully located and drilled the correct-sized hole, and pressed in the correct PEM threaded standoff with a PEM press.
Back then, I had access to a machine shop with the right equipment.
But you've got the right idea, and it can be done with simpler hand and power tools.
Jason

Sweet, my brother has all the equipment in the world at his work, I’ll go for it! Thanx

#1699 2 years ago
Quoted from mc300baud:going off what i can see of the the wiring colors, white/blue and green/white should go to #46 on the matrix, which should be the "trough upper" switch, the one that is visible right above your fingers in the pic. looks like those wires are connected to something else.
just checked my machine and confimed. the background is a bit out of focus but you can see that connector hooked to that switch.[quoted image]

Thanks so much. Haven’t wanted to go back to the office so bad in ages you guys rock. Wait til I get to the ring master :-/ there’s no screw on top! Someone used a rivet

#1704 2 years ago
Quoted from rrosenhouse:

Yes - Jason helped me put together a small run of these, complete with the rubber and screw. They all sold, and I have no more. Happy to have helped a dozen or so folks with Jason's help and expertise.
Rob

jasonbar rrosenhouse a few days in and I managed to find 2 last ones, also the correct screw, on action pinball - to my excitement. Ordered the correct blue rubber(s) from pinball life and I’m good to go. I’m writing here so if anyone else is looking keep this one on your radar. Unlike the rubber which states “discontinued”, this part now shows “temporarily out of stock”, so perhaps you can request to be on a waiting list since they’re so hard to come across.

Quoted from bakerhillpins:

The manual has a section in the back that shows what wires (by color combination) are attached to each pin of each connector for all the boards in the backbox. Look up the Power Driver board in that section and look for connectors in the 11x - 12x range IIRC.
The ground strap in your hand typically is pulled up through to the head and attached under a wing nut on a stud on bottom lower left side.[quoted image]

thank you.

I had a spare, brand new subwoofer and replaced the original. It’s a little higher and that makes taking the playfield in and out a little problematic as the ringmaster mech is obstructed by the magnet of the sub. Ordered the same part number as the manual, got the same part number, and yet this one is also same height and won’t solve the issue. Any solution before I resort to keeping the old one :-/?

Purchased a set of plastics only to realize the three that go on the ramps aren’t included, except the one by the juggler which can be seen after I replaced it in the back. And they don’t seem to be sold separately either. Anyone know what the deal is? Where can these ramp plastics+decals be found?

All ... we have Cirqus Voltaire "backglasses" (acrylic) available - we wanted to get a better result as the silkscreened versions (and we had half a pallet that we had to throw away) were all over the map due to the artwork and the process ... you get what you get.
So, we high-res scanned and cleaned/aligned the original WMS silkscreen films, and then with cut the new acrylic plastics using the original CAD file, and then assembled the films digitally and then had produced with more vibrant effect using the original artwork.
We have these now available http://www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPS-31-2832V2

2 questions please.
Once disassembled, what should I do for maintenance and cleaning purposes after many years? Everything is working fine as far as I could tell, but there’s some grease and dirt I figured could use a clean. How should I go on about it?

Second shot is of the raising pop bumper. It was missing the lamp housing inside, so I’m adding a new one I got from Marcos. Where do the two wires connect to on this mech?

Thanks

I’ve had this machine for over two years now and have yet to have a game on it. Finally getting it back to life - and other than a round at the pinball hall of fame in Feb 2020 haven’t ever played one. It’s coming along nicely and I’m sure soon enough it will be ready to be played.

Can the led tube replacement for the neon do the same, as far as turning on and off during attract mode/gameplay? I have one installed (ordered from pps by mistake thinking it was the real deal - my fault) and it just stays constantly . Is there something faulty or is this how they're supposed to be. Will probably order a neon in the next couple of days but wondering if I have a problem or not.

Quoted from ViperTim:

After an 11 hours round trip me and my father joined the Cirqus.
The good:
Apparently it was a clear coated playfield in great condition (probably has a few touch ups under the clear but only one can I can see, looks great!). Not even the seller knew this
New side art.
Good overall condition.
The bad:
Translate got cigarette burns (sigh…).
A little bit dirty inside.
A few broken plastics.
Extra hole in bottom of the cabinet for the subwoofer from Flipper Fidelity.
The sound improvement from the Flipper Fidelity speakers is welcome.
But come on… Don’t make another hole in the cabinet…
It will get the Pin2DMD from my Junk Yard today.
And a good cleaning.
New rubbers is also needed.

I've been looking for a year with no luck.

Anyone interested in scrolls should go to the item on pps website and add their email to the “notify me when these are available” list. There was a round pps made about three years back and I held off because I hadn’t owned the game yet, but I knew I would eventually get one. Meanwhile I’ve emailed PPS and they said it was likely they would are then again in the future. They also posted something in this thread a year or so ago. So add your name to the notification list and when they see a bunch of people waiting on these I’m sure they’re more likely to get around to it.
