I had a beautiful CV years ago but sold it. I’m looking to buy another one if anyone is looking to sell theirs. I’m in Michigan and would be willing to ship. PM me if you want to sell.

I'm finally joining the club again! I owned a CV about 12-13 years ago and have regretted selling ever since. Today I closed the deal a beautiful HUO CV. I'll post pics when I pick it up tomorrow.

I can't find the purple cabinet scrolls in stock anywhere. Any idea where I can get them?

It feels good to be back!

#1709 2 years ago

I rejoined the Cirqus today with a beautiful HUO example. I had one 15 years ago and have always regretted selling it. I've already ordered the color dmd, inside cabinet art, and a topper.

I'm looking for the purple scrolls and a complete set of plastic protectors. Any help with these would be appreciated.

Quoted from Completist:

Marco has what they call a “plastic shield set”. Don’t know if its complete per se but prob covers off the needed. I picked up a set for mine but haven’t installed them yet. Pinballdecals.com also has the same 5pc set too.

Thank! I ordered them from pinballdecals and bought the target decals too.

Is there anywhere in the USA that sells the stainless ringmaster protector?

#1714 2 years ago
Quoted from Santis:

You mean the top of the head or the hole protector?

The hole protector. I'm looking for the stainless one.

#1715 2 years ago

I did a google search and came up empty. Where can I get the Welcome! decal for the coin door?

Thanks!

#1720 2 years ago
Quoted from Santis:

Is your playfield damage?

Just a little spot on the left side of the hole. I think the stainless one would completely cover it.

#1721 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinkitten:

I have mild wear around the edge of the Ringmaster hole. I would say it’s pretty typical. Trying to apply the tight metal protector didn’t help, but didn’t hurt it much. Here is a pic of mine. I have a tiny spot directly behind the Ringmaster that was touched up before I owned it. I matched the paint better and it looks good.

Nice work! Looks good! Have the color code for that purple?

#1722 2 years ago

I took all three ramps off tonight, separated the neon ramp, cleaned them all real good, then flame polished them. They came out looking like glass.

#1724 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinkitten:

I’ll give you the name of the one we used. It was super close, so we mixed in a few drops of white to lighten it. It dried close to perfect.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it.

Quoted from GPS:

Going to be changing out my neon tube from orange to green. If someone wants one let me know

Where did you buy the green tube at?

#1728 2 years ago

Tilt GameBlades came today. They did a beautiful job with the artwork for this game. Color DMD arrives Saturday.

Quoted from PinballGalore:

Mine are on the way, looking good!

I highly recommend the wet method for installation.

#1734 2 years ago
Quoted from ghostbc:

I put the same game blades in and this is the first game that has a tighter cab to the pf so you have to be real careful when lifting the pf once installed as it seems easy to catch and damage. Might just be my machine so just a warning to be careful. They do look great. I also bought the metal ringmaster hole protector and once installed it got caught on ringmaster and ripped it out and bent it. I say nice piece of mylar right at the holes edge and no problems.

It is a tight cabinet in that regard. I cut a piece of poster board in half and then bent both pieces so they will hang on the side rail. I slide those in between the cabinet and playfield before I raise the playfield. Works great!

#1737 2 years ago
Quoted from bobukcat:

I use the protectors that Pinball Life sells, they slide in and out easily.

I was going to order those before Christmas but they were out of stock when I was placing my order. The poster board actually works pretty good.

#1742 2 years ago

Who has their CV trim and legs powder coated. What color did you go with. Pics would be nice to see.

#1744 2 years ago

Color DMD installed. Amazing difference on this game with the DMD being next to the playfield.

Quoted from Goonie:

Totally agree. If you haven't done this yet to your CV, I recommend it. One of the biggest bangs for the bucks on these DMDs I think.

I think the bang for the bulk is the Tilt GameBlades, then the Color DMD. They are both must-do mods.

#1749 2 years ago
Quoted from GPS:

For what it’s worth, I just swapped out my neon tube. Original was sort of orange and I replaced with a green from Pinball Life. Had initially ordered purple but than saw how much purple was already there and decided to go with green. Looks very nice!

I don't see green on their website.

#1760 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinkitten:

For those wanting to find the coin door decal, PinballDecals.com has these. They don’t have a picture of them, it simply says “custom coin door decal.” They are very nice. I ordered one and these both arrived.
[quoted image]

Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for that decal.

#1768 2 years ago

Looking for scrolls also. Would be great if you could get this done.

#1771 2 years ago
Quoted from mc300baud:

mmuglia i'm generally not a fan of powder coating (or many mods even,) but mine came like this and i thought it looked alright. price on the machine was quite good [even if i did have to drive to Boise to get it] so i didn't complain.
[quoted image]

I like it. Any idea what the name of the color is?

Does anyone happen to have a pair of extra scrolls lying around they can sell ? Thanks in advance.

Quoted from noitbe1:

Thanks. I’m curious if anyone has done this change and how the sound was like. I know some people who own a CV but no one has done this change.

I saw this posted and had to give it a try. I installed the 4.7k resistor and there is definitely more bass, but overall, the sound is very muffled and it sounds like shit! Adjusting the volume of the game only made it sound worse. Maybe a different value resistor would be better. I took the resistor out after 1 minute of gameplay.

Quoted from noitbe1:

rosound speaker kit

thanks for the link, I need to test this change as well knowing you can remove it.

thanks Scott for the tip, do you have a link for your prosound kit ? is it dedicated to pinball ?

Don't bother with adding the 4.7k resistor. I did it yesterday when I saw the post and took it out a minute later. It sounded terrible.

Anyone see the scrolls listed in the marketplace? His price started earlier this week at $1200. I messaged him and made a fair offer but was shot down.

Is anyone interested in the Laseriffic topper for their CV? I bought this a few months ago and I'm going to be installing a set of scrolls, so I no longer need the topper. It has the RGB lighting with remote, so you can change the color to whatever you want. I paid $160 plus shipping and will let it go for $125 shipped in the US.

Ok! Sorry, where is that!?
Thanks!

Hmm. Ok. I’ll try that. What should it read? The lugs are where the coil connects to the 2 wires?

Hmm, no it doesn’t fire at all no.

It's on the board in the backbox. If you don't know where it is, I suggest you call someone for help.

All of my games have speaker lights except for CV. Has anyone figured out how to install them in this game.

Anyone know where I can get some nice apron cards? Mine are crap.

Quoted from allsportdvd:

I’ve picked up a CV to restore and hoping this club can help me answer a few things:
1. How does the neon install? Mine has an aftermarket thing in there but I’ve bought a neon with 2 wires at each end
2. Is the larger of the 2 subway ramps available anywhere? Mine is broken
3. Best artblades solution? I see a few options
That’s all for now

These are my favorite artblades. They look great!
