Joined!! My grail!! Missed out on one a few years ago because I need to think about the price overnight, was sold while I was thinking!!

Not this time!! Super Happy!!

I do have a few questions though and probably many more to come but this is a Mirco Pf'd, new, 70 odd plays...I have put mylar down where the balls fall from the wire ramp for m/ball. Do I need it anywhere else do you think? Scoop eject from ringmaster?

Cliffys for the Ringmaster and shooter lane...where can I find these? Cliffy doesn't show the ringmaster?

Rule sheet...is IPDB the best one out there?

Anything else you guys think I need to know, adjust, buy or recommend!!

Otherwise...glad to be in the club!!

Quoted from whthrs166:

You should get a Ring Master Protector kit. It will keep that RM hole pristine.

Is that the one from Pinball Centre? The metal one! Looking at that and the Cliffy for shooter eject as well.

#825 5 years ago
Quoted from whthrs166:

No, They are nylon and include a new top for the RM. They have them on Ebay for $80

Do you mean this one by The Mod Couple thats $69 here

https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1080-the-mod-couple/01630-cirqus-voltaire-ringmaster-custom-guard-kit-mod

That metal one is a bit cheaper for me in Australia. Seems pretty good, just installation could be a pain.

What have you guys done with your scrolls to attache them? I want to put them on but don't want to screw them into the backbox...and not sure about double sided tape on new decals?

Any ideas please.

#828 5 years ago
Quoted from Chosen_S:

I don’t have scrolls, but just thinking; you could drill some clean #6 clean holes and run bolts. Less dirty than screw holes when removed

This sounds like it would still entail drilling into the head which I really want to try and avoid.

#831 5 years ago
Quoted from Aniraf:

I put them in my closet because I think they look horrible :/.

I don't mind them personally. Just want to see what they look like on, you may be right..haha

#839 5 years ago
Quoted from whthrs166:

I attached my Scrolls with two sided tape. When I got my game the original scrolls were inside the game. The former owner didn't want them installed for the typical reason: The game wouldn't fit in his line up. The scrolls were not popular especially with operators . After downsizing my collection I decide to go with less games so I could have more space around my games to make the artwork on my favorites stand out. So installing the scrolls was a No Brainer for me. The two sided tape works great because it is strong and can easily be removed if needed.

Yeah, wondered about the double sided tape. The residue would be easy enough to remove one would think if they ever needed to come off. It's really the only option that I can think of.

Cheers.

I wonder if even just simple Blue Tack would work for this?

My scrolls are slightly out of alignment but could get the tops stuck on using this no problem. The side section may just protrude slightly. Might work

Thanks guys...appreciate all the input!

Hey guys, anyone installed a Cliffy in the shooter lane? I bought the one shown from Pinball Centre because they had the metal one for the Ringmaster.

Have I bought the wrong one or has the post for the shooter lane gone in the wrong spot...I'm guessing the former!

Can anyone confirm the connector J113 is not being used and J114 is?

My CV shows the wires for J114 (reading from the manual) are in fact connected into J113...or am I reading this wrong?

My next thing to do is change all the rubbers on this beast. I have heard good things about Titan so I am going to try them. Want to stick to white as I think the original colours looks best. Not one for going purple, blue, translucent...etc.

Can anyone confirm if they have bought the kits from the Titan site and any sizing issues? I've found this which gives a pretty good explanation of why they added or changed some sizes so was going to go this: https://www.titanpinball.com/kits/index.php/view/id/575

#877 4 years ago
Quoted from Aniraf:

That is my kit, so I know it works . I added rubbers for all of the posts which stick up on the upper plastics. I guess they are decorative but I felt like they looked better with the color contrast.
For my own kit, I used the purple post sleeves which I felt looked nice and not super noticeable.
I feel like I discovered a flaw in my documentation last time. It is the right ring sizes, just the incorrect placement. I can’t remember if I fixed it. If you see anything weird, let me know. Also I have a high quality version of that image if you want it. Titan down samples it pretty bad.

Thank you for the reply! It's why I choose this kit...seemed to be the best when it came to explaining why you did what you did!

I'll order through our local distro and make sure to rate it so it might help further purchases.

I have 124 spare but a mate has this in??

#892 4 years ago

Thanks mate! We are at 1 for 1. Haha. Need someone else to confirm.

Quoted from Pinoffski:

Hope this helps..[quoted image]

I actually just realised that while yours are in the same location, they are upside down compared to mine!! Man!!

I have the one with 3 wires in the bottom connector??!!

Anyone else have a pic?

Has anyone had issues where the ball flies off the Acrobats wire form and runs along the edge of the inner body, bouncing over the air ball plastics, to join the ramp right at the end?

If i hit a hard, well timed shot...this happens to me!!

Thoughts about a possible fix?

Anyone help why my Acrobats shot rolls off the wire form, down the LHS of the plastics (against the wood) and then back onto the wire form to my left flipper?

Quoted from rrosenhouse:

I grew tired of trying to find the ball guard guide and blue bumper pad for my CV, so I had a number of them made. This is the impossible to find part number 04-10253-1, along with the blue pad and mounting screw. Takes 30 seconds to install.
I am selling each set for $50 plus $8 for priority shipping. Please PM me if you are interested.

I appreciate that you have gone to the trouble of doing this, but if I may respectfully, $50 seems very very high for this item. Brackets were like $7/8 and for someone like myself in Australia who needs one, once converted and shipped is close to $100AUD!!?!

Can anyone confirm how high your ringmaster sits during gameplay?

This is mine. The metal plate is basically level to the pf'd.

A mates sits a lot lower.

#1378 3 years ago
Quoted from drummermike:

My metal plate sits just below the pf so the plate will not get hit.

Thank you. Mine isn't flush as such, it does sit very slightly lower. The ball won't hit the plate but a friend has his maybe 1/2 fingers lower in the pf'd?!?

#1379 3 years ago
Quoted from Kare9:

Mine sits a lot higher. The bottom plate is about an inch above the pf and the bottom ring is terribly mushroomed. How to get him to sit lower?
I see you have the pinball revolution protector, how flush does it sit when the Rm is lowered?

For an adjustment check your manual but if I remember right, there should be a screw that can be lowered or raised that will adjust the height for you. Located on the metal bracket that is the housing of the head.

As for the protector...awesome product! Recommended above anything else!

For anyone interested I got Jady swinks Pinball to make the very hard to find LHS Ball bumper guide!!

Someone on here was charging way to much (as I'm in Australia so the conversion was killing the deal for me), so I contacted Jady and he got this 3D printed!! $32AUD was perfect!

Amazing work and thanks to swinks

All you need to do is tap or thread the hole to 2.5mm and then go to any hobby store for the grub screw and your done!!

Highly recommended!

So happy I can finally play and not worry about killing that guide rail or my balls.
