I've always considered the neon a really great "gimmick" in the game. One of my favorite things about it's art/design.

Quoted from GPS:

Indeed you are right! Just checked their site. Well, maybe they just ran out of green but I did purchase mine from Pinball Life. Maybe a phone call may resolve the issue.

Man, shipping a neon tube with the quality of today's shipping services... UGH, what a nightmare.

#1752 1 year ago

Purchased a set of plastics only to realize the three that go on the ramps aren’t included, except the one by the juggler which can be seen after I replaced it in the back. And they don’t seem to be sold separately either. Anyone know what the deal is? Where can these ramp plastics+decals be found?

Update: Found the center ramp plastic in Germany, but doesn’t look like the decal comes with it or is available separately

Actually with the way that Pinball Life shipped the new one to me was very secure. I saved the old packaging in the event that someone wanted my orange one!! Have no doubt it would arrive safely!!

Last bump for anyone who may wish to have an orange neon for their game. Working/good shape. Just don’t want to keep it hanging around. No damn room. Need more machines!!!

I've got blue and the Orange (Tangerine?) sounds interesting.

Has anyone ever put together a page that has all the different neon colors released on the game side by side? Would be cool to see but I'd rather not duplicate all the effort if it's out there.

I know the feeling. I ended up trashing an old Rick and Morty LCD and a Rocky and Bullwinkle DMD after upgrading them. I hated to trash them but just can’t keep everything.

For those wanting to find the coin door decal, PinballDecals.com has these. They don’t have a picture of them, it simply says “custom coin door decal.” They are very nice. I ordered one and these both arrived.

Hello guys,

I'm the proud owner of a CV recently.
I'm pimping it a little bit with the Simba and Plasma Mod.

I'm also looking for the scrolls, but nowhere to find.
They are sold out everywhere.

Do you know where to buy them?

Or maybe i could print them 3D.
Where can I find the file's of them? are there any file's?

Maybe someone can make picuters of them?
https://i.materialise.com/blog/en/how-to-make-a-3d-printed-object-from-a-photo-in-5-easy-steps
If I have the pictuers, i can make a model of it myself.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Greatings,

Rick van Rijswijk
The Netherlands.

All ... we have Cirqus Voltaire "backglasses" (acrylic) available - we wanted to get a better result as the silkscreened versions (and we had half a pallet that we had to throw away) were all over the map due to the artwork and the process ... you get what you get.

So, we high-res scanned and cleaned/aligned the original WMS silkscreen films, and then with cut the new acrylic plastics using the original CAD file, and then assembled the films digitally and then had produced with more vibrant effect using the original artwork.

We have these now available http://www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPS-31-2832V2

Could you also look into getting the white tub remade for behind the acrylic please?

We have the CV tub tool as well, will be getting that sorted out ... finding suppliers that want/can do things is hard ... stay tuned.

Looking for scrolls also. Would be great if you could get this done.

Who has their CV trim and legs powder coated. What color did you go with. Pics would be nice to see.

mmuglia i'm generally not a fan of powder coating (or many mods even,) but mine came like this and i thought it looked alright. price on the machine was quite good [even if i did have to drive to Boise to get it] so i didn't complain.

I don't see green on their website.

i've found that Pinball Life is really good about removing items that are OOS from the site even if they plan to carry them again but often i'd rather just know they are temporarily unavailable. they have always been quite responsive to e-mails so that may be the best way to go check and see if they plan on getting 'em back in again.

sorry, no idea. the guy i bought the machine from had purchased it as-is from someone up in Spokane several years earlier and had little recollection of who that was and no contact info (i wanted to ask a few questions about the mods and likely partial-restore done to the game.)

Thanks

Rebuilding my CV playfield after to many years. Issue i have is behind left slingshot. The metal post in first pic goes in this hole.
However under the PF the hole seems to be blocked / covered by this plastic in pic 2.
Could someone with a CV send me a pic of what the under playfield looks like where this post comes through like in pic 2,
Thanks

2 questions please.
Once disassembled, what should I do for maintenance and cleaning purposes after many years? Everything is working fine as far as I could tell, but there’s some grease and dirt I figured could use a clean. How should I go on about it?

Second shot is of the raising pop bumper. It was missing the lamp housing inside, so I’m adding a new one I got from Marcos. Where do the two wires connect to on this mech?

Thanks

Anyone know what this bracket is? It's not on my machine. On mine, someone put a screw thru the display plastic cover in the bottom right corner to prevent it being caught when PF is being put back in...maybe this is bracket is related as a solution?

It's a little hard to see in your picture but that looks like part of the service bulletin kit they released in part to prevent the playfield from catching the edge of the display cover plastic.

#1794 1 year ago

yeah, that's part of the upgrade kit covered in SB 102. it's supposed to prevent balls from getting trapped as well as keep the display surround plastic from catching on the playfield structures when it's lowered back into place.

in the sample pic it's installed incorrectly; the metal tab should be sandwiched between the plastic and the wooden display frame and therefore not visible.

Also -- Good frickin' luck finding em . I finally bit the bullet after a few years and bought from Mr. Pinball in AU and paid the premium on shipping (and happy I did).
