Quoted from TomDK:

Last one I realised was several years ago on eBay in the USA with more than 70K.
Ans yes, my rebuild was under 10K .. I have a normal job and work for my money
Unbelievable what people pay for a pinball machine ....

I knew of one for sale recently - asking price was/is 100k.

I reached out to coos and he does the mirrored backglass for 300 euro + shipping for those interested. Thanks for the recommendation! https://www.coos.net/bingo_e/Backglasses.html

Fortunate enough to join the club recently with a NIB pin #151. A fellow pinsider had asked to share a few pics so doing that here.

Love how they packed the leg bolts each In a separate bag. Note the date on the newspaper that wa on the box - in the leg tube - thought the story was funny.

A few rubs on the back of the backbox from where the box rubbed off a little paint over time and looks like the tube has come unglued from the base, but all else looks good.

Two questions for the other owners - those that have the EL green armor - any idea what color/paint that is? Also, for the tube dancer - best way to get her out? Undo everything under or just pull the tube off from the top after unhooking the latch?

Happy to be in the club. Happy New Year all!

Quoted from insight75:

Very cool. I'm glad its out of the box and being played like it should be. How did the tube dancer hold up?

She’s a bit twisted and looks a little limp, but I’ll pull it apart and see if she can’t hold her own.

Would definitely be interested in the topper people have spoken about. Who made it originally? Are they still around pinside?

For anyone that ordered the mirrored backglass from coos, just confirming that it does fit in the existing mounting brackets.

Also, if anyone else acquired their BBB from the original owner and has a plaque with another name on it that they would like to change, I’ve managed to track down the trophy shop that made them originally and they said they can reproduce them ($35ish). Will report back when I get mine.

Quoted from Jecco74:

The back glass from coos is a really tight fit with the existing trim. I need to find some trim that is thinner material on the sides

Strange. Mine was a little loose when I exchanged them. As usual, nothing seems the same from pin to pin.

Lets get the Topper rolling, anyone else want a BBB Topper for their current game or future game ? +1

Yep. I’m in.

Mirrored backglass installed. Also had Steve at Pin Refinery do a set of armor in candy electro purple - turned out really well.

Two noob questions for the group: (1) has anyone had experience with the outline kicker sticking open? Works fine in diagnostic test, but then stays open and won’t let balls in the drain hole. (2) played a few games and all of a sudden the slingshots starting firing randomly - seemingly connected to the flippers, but also firing random and in rapid succession. Any thoughts?

#126 1 year ago
Quoted from jchristian11:

I think he’ll need to remove the apron to access the outlane kicker.

Yep. Apron removed and kicker solved. Not sure what was making it stick, but solved. Now onto the slingshots. Only only one if the swifches responds and it’s sporadic almost like there is a short somewhere or it’s not fully connected. Thx.

Received my new plaques from B&B Awards (the company that made these originally). They run -$40-50 shipped and I contacted them just through the website (they had the design on file). Super great to deal with. I had a few made just for fun (can’t help but think this could be a bar in Rick and Morty).

Quoted from jake35:

How did you determine who made these? That is awesome!!

Since mine was NIB - the label was still attached to the original plaque as it was still in the bag, not attached to the apron. Pretty cool.

Now for that elusive topper…

Quoted from MK6PIN:

Its an amazing mix of current tech with unbelievable, pure flow to it. Shots are very, very satisfying, lighting, audio interlace perfectly ( for me). Spinners, reel, and interaction of the topper simply cant be overstated enough...short games and low scoring. Play mine absolutely every night.
Beatles is cool, but this is not that.
The game just feels "right" and a blast to play...alot

Agree with all of this re JB60

+1 for the topper! And if we can’t get 2 more I’ll get the balance to make it happen!

Can a member in the group let me know what colours they used for the LED conversion. I can’t see an already made up kit. littlecammi insight75 MK6PIN maybe, would appreciate the help.
Thanks

Apologies, Pinbud!! Been heavy on the work side this week, and haven't ventured into the gameroom. Tonight is Bourbon night however, so definitely heading down there (will keep the pics as clear as possible, lol)...

I haven’t installed mine yet, so thank you in advance!

Anyone happen to know where one could get (if available) a set of apron decals? Thinking of powder coating my apron. Thank you.

#283 9 months ago

Huge thanks to people who have pinged me and responded about repo apron decals. Super helpful and I’ve found a source in Zona Arcade whom I’ve used before. Will share back an image when all complete. Thanks again everyone!

#285 8 months ago

Thanks Tom. I was inspired by @ulmphatmd’s blue lady and loved how it matched the side backbox art. Hoping two others think it’s just as fun.

Topper life in BBB land....looks amazing!!
Huge thanks to ulmpharmd
Can only think of a proper backglass light instead of the nasty fluorescent tube as my remaining quest for this beauty....such a fun game to play!!!
[quoted image]

So…great idea on the backglass. I reached out to Kim at Kimball’s Pinballs because his stuff is really well thought out. Will circle back with everyone.

Huge thank you to ulmpharmd ! Looks amazing not even hooked up!

Hey All
Does anyone have a Tube dancer tube? Looks like mine is coming apart from the base. Or has anyone fixed theirs?

Mine came apart as well and ended up taking it out and just super gluing the base back to the tube.
