Hi everyone.
I was playing with my son today and after many games both flippers on player 1 side all of a sudden seemed weak, after checking under the playfield I realized that when pressing on either right or left flippers the opponents left bank drop target coil activates at the same time, weird problem, I've never seen this before, it looks like the power is shared with the bank drop target coil, thus making the flippers weak.
I must say that to play a strategic game on Joust you must hold the left flipper activated quite often to catch the balls on it and for more than 1 minute most of the time, it's the easiest way the hit the passage single drop targets to activate high score spinners......
But the end of stroke switches on the flippers are well adjusted.
Anyone know what could be the problem??

Thanks for the help.
Claude.

I just checked the connections and all are good.
Thanks.
I thought that the problem could be a ground problem, I found a transistor that had a bad, melted down solder joint right beside the ground connectors, I'll get a better look tomorrow by removing the driver board but there seems to be 2 transistor pins that have a contact between them around the 3 transistor pins.

I vote diode checks.

Problem solved, there was a broken wire on another drop target coil.

Thanks for the help......
