I have intermittent "no flipper" problems on both Gorgar and Firepower. Both machines have tilts removed.

Gorgar: the flippers all of a sudden just stop working. Half of the time if I open and close the coin door they work again. Other times not, I just have to wait a while, or lift the playfield and pretend to fiddle about knowing what I'm looking for. It only happens after I drain and the next ball comes up.

Firepower: seems to happen when I knock it hard before a drain. Again, when the ball comes back up for the next ball the flippers just don't work. I don't believe it's the knock though, as I'm certain it's happened without giving it a slam. Opening the coin door trick doesn't work. It seems like it needs time to recoup....I have to turn it off. When I turn the game back on a few mins later it works again.

Whats up with that?

I should add that while the flippers stop working, all other coils on the game function as normal.
