So I'm rebuilding the flippers on my Riverboat Gambler and I find that the game has an oddball flipper coil. The left one is the standard FL-11630, but the only markings on the right one are "60 5310". I can't find any reference to any other company's replacement Williams coil with that part number. It did work just fine when I brought the game home and played a few times, I'd just like to make sure that it's the equivalent of an FL-11630 coil.

Here you go. Opposite side of coil has the same stamping.

So I measured the odd coil's resistance with a DMM and got 4.9 for low power, pretty close to the 4.7 where it should be, and then ~30 for high power. Not even close to 161, and no matter where on the lugs I tried measuring, it was always around 30. So I pulled that one out of the game and soldered in a Quality Coils FL-11630 I found sitting around that tested fine. Out of curiosity, I tested the odd coil again once I had it out of the game, and it was 4.9/160, good after all. Better safe than sorry, I know I have a good coil in there now, but son of a gun, apparently I didn't have to take it out at all. Why would I get the erroneous reading?

Quoted from slochar:

Did you open the end of stroke switch when you did this?

When I measured the odd coil while in the game? I did not.
