This is in the past but can't be too off-topic from the wedgehead love: I organized a wedgehead row for Pinfest 2016 and it came to life that year, fun times. Seems so long ago now, I brought my Domino and brought home the mint Spin-A-Card, which especially makes it feel like forever ago because that game seems like it has been around here forever.

I could not get special lit on Hit the Deck today. Always had 1 or 2 cards left

Just saw this thread and was just playing HTD!

Fantastic game, especially collecting Joker and everything being lit for 5000.

Played in chronological order all 25 wedgeheads in the basement gameroom today. Took me about a 1 hour and 45 minutes.

My daughter and I played some Pro Football and Capt Card tonight.

She beat me.

Good times.

I played 4 games on this exciting and fun player tonight. The game has a good flow to it. The ball never gets hung up anywhere on the playfield. Too bad there isn't any room for in the basement gameroom with the rest of the wedgeheads.

Gotta save the rares, 1970 Gottlieb Stock Car (350 made) is running again after several decades. Screw parting games out Resoldering hundreds of wires over many long nights and now it runs and plays. I would say it's magic but it's just hard work! Headed to the museum with the rest

This was purposely destroyed to put in a custom computer system by the previous owner in 2013, obviously not natural wear and tear. Now running on its original hardware again with no parts even needing replaced

- Rewired two entire relays and switch stacks
- Rewired all four score reels, switch stacks, circuit board (add-a-balls oddly only have one circuit board reel, thank god)
- Rewired kickers and switches
- Rewired outhole coil and switches
- Rewired flippers and flipper switches
- Rewired all 10 playfield rollover switches
- Rewired all other playfield switches
- Rewired ripped out 1-10 ball count backbox lights and sockets, rewired "balls to play" light and socket, "Game Over" light and socket
- Rewired transformer
- Rewired entire circuits of all 3 pop bumpers
- Rewired center playfield spinner
- Rewired part of coin door which was totally gutted, only bothered with start switch because this is going on free play
- Wasnt out of the woods yet, only then could I start repairing the actual problems with the game
- Repaired electromechanical circuits of game
- Rebuilt "balls to play" unit

Here’s High Hand with all PM's completed.I played it 10 straight games in a row. What tough, but rewarding player.

These past couple of weeks, mostly weekends when I can work through the entire day getting multiples of wedgehead completed.I have been pulling a wedge head from the line up and giving it the preventive maintenance is deserves. I have finished PM's on 15 wedgheads out of the 25 that fill my basement gameroom. Only 10 more wedgeheads left to PM.

Of course I play the game to evaluate what needs to get worked on and after completion, I play the game again to assure all is 100% perfect.

High Hand was the last pinball machine I played on route at my local candy store, which was 50 feet from my house back in 1973. That year I got my drivers license and Pinball took a back seat For a few years.

Beautiful Vic. Hope to catch up with you at Pinfest in May. Just played a game or 2 on my newly restored Buckaroo, got 4 replays for 1 thru 7. Hard game, really need to pick your shots at the roto. Just 1 reel contact to gap a little closer so it consistently resets.

Hey Vic you probably a good person to ask... the contacts on the ball gate, 3 of them, 1 for the start seq, ie why start a game if its started, 2nd disables the bottom rollovers, third the gate hold. Why did the designers think they needed the rollover disable? the gate will close with a hit to the top rollovers and enable the rollovers. Ive found this ball gate contact can be a little flaky and have jumpered around it. Doesnt affect gameplay? (Also got a bulb out I need to replace)

Need to PM my High hand... played it last night & bonus count was a little flakey.

Quoted from dasvis:

Just today I adjusted the Bonus Unit on the EM JP. Second time in the past year. The bracket that the snowshoe wiper
is attached to loses its proper adjustment. The two L screws seems to slip. This time I gave the bracket 1/3 rotation so
the set screws tighten on new surface. I'm thinking it may be resetting a little too strongly, thus gradually slipping the set screws.
If there's a next time, I'll be reducing the return spring 1/2 turn..

I've been shopping out all my basement wedgeheads as of lately. All these games in the picture I just completed in the last 3 weekends and have been playing them a lot.

I need to learn this thing you all call PM. Some of my lights are starting to flicker and some of the rollover targets seem fishy on the score reels. If you have a youtube video you recommend for preventative maintenance I would love learning about this mysterious term that has eluded me since I picked up my first 2 and only pins. Fun Park 1968 and Team One 1977.

In other news I just broke my high score on Team One with 188,040 ^_^
Still cant roll over Fun Park....im stuck at 7,410 sadly

I will be playing Cowpoke. It’s my newest game so I play it the most. It’s just challenging enough to keep me coming back for more. Plus, the Roto targets have such a great sound.

I’ve been extremely busy lately plowing through the remaining 10 wedgeheads left on my PM and Shopping out list. Well, only 4 left to do and the that would complete the entire heard of 25 which fill the basement space.

Made a slight change in the line up to accommodate my chronological order and made a big difference to my liking.

Oh I almost forgot....I have been playing Buckaroo, Show Boat, Sweet Hearts and North Star. Hey....someone has to test play them and all the PM work.

Last month, after addressing a problem with a sticky left flipper on Gottlieb's Surfer, that's
the one I've been playing time to time, but today I got an early start for February's annual
gathering and began by waxing and then trying out these four classics. Besides changing
a couple of bulbs, all played fine. Like most Wedge Heads, I can get into playing any of
these 4, but I might say, Ice Show may be the hardest of all the 4 digit AAB Wedge Heads
to get a really good score on, not to mention turn over..

Playing and fixing up my second of two 4 Square's. Have only three wedge heads. Just bought a minor project 4 Square to upgrade as my original has white painted cabinet. But both have backglass issues, so if anyone out there has an original in good condition, I might be interested. (Not wanting a reproduction if can avoid it).

Completed few more wedgeheads and test played them before putting them back in the line up.Central Park, Cross Town and Sing Along are back in their slots.

Only two more left to do! Pulled Bank a Ball out of the way to get at Target Pool and Mibs for their PM and Shopping coming up soon.

Stumbled upon this topic, no way to document it, but I finally rolled my Atlantis after owning it for 9 years! 63000 points on the first ball and the special was lit so it wasn't bad after that final score- 105,730.. I've come close a few times but wintertime sees me playing more pinball so that helps. Next, have to try to improve my scores on King Pin. Those side outlanes are death!

It’s a great game and very underrated. Can’t wait to see how yours comes out after the restoration

I'll post pics when I've actually played it!

Play my Drop a Card tonight and turned the score reels around with 10,248 points. Wasn’t my highest score ever, but still a nice game. I did manage to pop 10 free games though.
Check out my highest ever score on Drop a Card back in 2005 in my High Score Book, under DAD.

My Drop a Card was just shopped including new rubbers and I have to say, sometimes I have my best scoring games after a fresh shop job.

Beautiful machines.. I'm jealous of how nice of shape your Hit The Deck is in..

This was my luckiest wedgehead find. My Hit the Deck was purchased new upon release by a local funeral home, designed to "kill time" while employees awaited their next customer. The game has never had an active coin mechanism for this reason.

Before I acquired her, she spent her entire life in an extraordinarily quiet, temperature-controlled environment. I call it my "funeral home use only" game.

I’m curious to know what funeral home it was, and how long they kept it until you acquired it.

It was in Gloucester County. I will ask my friend, who supplied the lead about 12 years ago. The funeral home's landscaper purchased the game and had it briefly before he left his wife (and house) and evidently ran off with another woman. He left behind Hit the Deck and a Segasa Monaco. I almost bought Monaco as well because, like HtD, it too was in exceptionally nice condition.

There was a Monaco for sale at the last York Show for $700, first time I played one and it played great, very nice art work also.

I considered buying it, but it was sold.
