Weak flippers...on certain shots only

So my RoboCop has decided to do something funky. Whenever I attempt a shot from the final 1/3 of the flipper, it's as if I'm using a wet spaghetti noodle. But if I shoot from the pivot point up to about the middle, I get pretty good power.

This is frustrating because in order to make the sweet jump shot on the game, you really need that power on your end of flipper shots.

Anyone have a clue what's going on here? Thanks!

Had a similar issue. Was only happening on one flipper. I took some rubbing alcohol and cleaned the EOS with a cotton swab. The swab turned black. Seems the switch wasn't making "clean" contact. After that, it worked just fine. Try checking your EOS and see if that helps. Also, if the switch is pitted it won't make the best contact.

Broken flipper bat?

It's happening with both flippers. Even weirder is the fact they both worked fine about a week ago.

Is this a power supply issue perhaps?

I've actually seen this twice in the last two months. Both times it wasn't visible until the flipper rubber was removed.

Anyone have any other theories?

Bats are tight enough?

Flippers are not aligned correctly and are up too high? Can you adjust them downwards a hair? I had this issue on a Tommy and it was simply misaligned flippers.

Eos switch may not adjusted/dialed in correctly.

Sounds like broken flipper bats to me. Try to squeeze them with the glass off and see if there is any give. I don't see how the contacts do anything different depending how you hit the ball. Bats are cheap and easy to swap so I would start with replacing them.

Which of the above suggestions you have already tried and ruled out?
