When we talk about cleaning the flipper switches and EOS switches you need to take a hard file to the contact faces. Don’t take hardly any material off but be sure you are getting a good scrub across the contact face.
Not sure what you mean by having the EOS adjusted at 1/8 or 1/16. Opening distance/gap I presume. The EOS doesn’t need to open more than 1/16” unless it is machine gunning.
The last thing you need to look at is when the EOS is opening. To get the most power you want it to open as late as possible in the flipper stroke. Adjust it back from there if too powerful.
With all you have looked at and done you shouldn’t need to high tap or install hot coils.
