Dirty Harry has me scratching my head. All three flippers are so weak that if I hold them in place and hit the flipper button, I can keep them from moving without much resistance at all. If I don't hold them, they will flip all the way to EOS and hold that position with a lot of strength. I swapped the fliptronics board with a known good one and get the same result. I'm getting 70 volts at all three coils. The plungers aren't binding. I've cleaned the optos at the flipper switch and replaced the EOS switches. The machine is grounded properly. This was a routed game, but I don't see any obvious hacks. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for the link. I checked everything on that page, however. I suppose I could have three bad coils.

I'd be tempted to check the wall outlet voltage and then compare that to what your game is wired for.

For example if the wall is at 100 and your game wired for 120, there you go.

I know that the wall is 120. I'll check the game setting. Would I still be getting 70 volts at the coils if this were the problem?

When I bought mine, we had to replace all 3 coils. You get this off of CL a couple of weeks ago?

cabinet switches in good order? EOS switches gapped ?

switch test might help your situation

Turns out it is a mechanical issue. The plungers were so badly beaten that they were binding. They seemed to slide ok manually, so I moved on to looking for an electrical issue. I'm always trying to make things harder than they need to be. Thanks for everyone's input.

Yes. Bob bought it. I'm working on it for him.
