I did not seem to find a CC club in the threads, so I post this as a separate thread.

In my game the autoplunger seems very weak and quite often fails to launch the ball up the ramp.
What kind of fixes have people used to make the autoplunger work 100 %?

Thanks for any info!

1. Make sure the wiring is soldered solidly on the coil lugs properly.
2. Take apart and make sure the coil sleeve and plunger are clean. Sometimes people lube these and they get gummed up.
3. Make sure the alignment of the whole assembly strikes the ball squarely and at the right spot.
4. Make sure the auto launcher isn't rubbing against the manual ball shooter when it shoots.

I'd start there and see if it gets any better.

Hey Nepi
Schudel has given you great advice on what to look for. Make certain that you have the correct coil, AE-23-800. There is a good illustration in the manual on page 2-20. (download from IPDB) After checking that everything moves freely and easily, if you have CCC, Eric has provided an adjustable auto plunger strength setting in his code.

Oh great! Yes, I have CCC in use, I have to check that option out!

It turned out that the plunger spring outside of the cabinet had worn, which resulted in the plunger being too far up the shooter lane. That's why the autoplunger was hitting the plunger and not working properly. Many thanks to user Midway-Man for figuring this out!

Thank you for posting this! I did not know there was an adjustment for the coil in the code.

X 2 This also happened to mine. Barrel spring was crushed allowing the ball plunger to stick out too far interfering with the auto plunger. Small fix for a big problem. The damage to that spring was difficult to see allowing it to go unnoticed.
