This is what the ausy e-bay has on it. Same as the U.S. Pricks driving up the price of pinball and no one here does anything about it.

I'm pretty sure 1 individual is unable to drive the prices around the World.

I sold one for £1,800 about 6 months ago.

na there is lots of them doing it

I'm glad I don't live on an island.

There are actually some very funny things printed in that auction, for example:

"It features both kinds of music ( Country and Western )".

There is someone selling a Scared Stiff on ebay out of Texas for roughly $4000 USD. Says it was shopped, but the photos show the boney beast ramp is missing half of the ribs, the flippers are not OEM, the frogs are purple, the cabinet art work is faded on all sides, the crate decal is missing or something and I could see rust on one of the legs.

There's probably more, but that's just what I can see from the pics.

I know pinballs are collectable, but really? 4K?

I guess that makes some of my deals even better.

$4K is nothing for a top line pin.

he wants 5K for RS and the bold letter RARE i have a real beef with i have seen FT listed as RARE. Some poor bastard gos and pays this and its bad for all of us

definitely bad for him.. not really for me.

Bad for us if other sellers catch on and think their pins are worth the same. It will take them a good long while to get back down to earth. That's why eBay is the wasteland of overpriced Buy-it-now pins that it is.

sorry you live in Aus. definitely sucks for pins I suppose.
    here's something more reasonable..

I'll also mention that I could have had a RS for 1400$ (US) from a local pin collector.
just have to be patient and know where to look..

It's the seller's game, and he can sell it for whatever he wants. Nobody being forced to buy it.
If the demand is there, then the game will sell.. if the demand ISNT there, it WONT... simple economics.

Yeah our local market is up to shit. I think it might cheaper to buy from the US and pay the shipping cost. With the high Aussie dollar,i might be taking this option when i buy my next pin.

I met a nice bloke from Sydney last year at Expo that was doing exactly that. He bought a TZ and was having it shipped back home.

The sad part is these IDIOTS don't even have to sell the OVERPRICED SHIT to affect the rest of the market... uneducated owners go to E-bay thinking its a price guide then think their game is worth what some Idiot priced their game. Its happening all over the place (Craigslist), and its got to be called out! When something is overpriced on CList I shoot off an email to the lister to let them know the true value of the game... alot of people get pissy, but I don't care. If your uneducated or GREEDY then I'm gonna do my part to CALL IT OUT!
