A lot of people believe everything they read and hear much too easily.

    Bonjour!

    Quoted from Orko:

Guys my family gone suffered from a fire caused by some bad connections?

Is that really a question you should be asking us?

    #54 3 years ago

I moved all my games into storage after the tornado. Insurance is paying for storage and repairs or replacement. They will even pay to have someone clean them.

Unless that someone is you I wouldn't take them up on this offer!

As others have said, put them in a climate controlled storage and they will be fine.

Definitely let that be part of your estimate though, then you can use that money in other areas.

Get everything you can on that estimate.

I am not, but they did offer. I am actually going to do it and they are going to pay me so it worked out well.

I need help? Should I just get all of machines and have them wrapped until this is all over. What’s the beat way to store pinball for until things go back to normal.

I’m deviatared that my favorite TMNT game didn’t mKe

OK, hold on a second. CLARITY is largely lacking here. 1.) Did your family perish in a house fire or did they move to a local hotel, etc.? (..."family gone suffered from a fire...") 2.) In either case - you are "deviatared" that TMNT "didn't mKe"? I'm guessing that you mean 'devastated' that your TMNT was damaged - but seriously, this is what your main focus is after losing your house and even bigger yet - possibly your whole family?!?

One question for you: WTF are you talking about?!?

I doubt he "lost" anything more than about a week of his memory and half-dozen handles of Jack Daniels.

I do somewhat admire this level of trolling though. I wonder how many times he's going to post these ridiculous threads before people stop showering him with their sympathy though? It's pretty hilarious how gullible some people can be. I'm looking forward to the next catastrophic event OP. Well done.

I'm not so sure, polar opposites they sound to me.
One goes on and on rambling in run on sentences, holds go fund me's for a hang nail, so on and so forth.
The other scripts cryptic short epitaphs which are usually incoherent regarding a recent tragedy and no go fund me.

Yeah, but both sound full of shit.

    Quoted from Coindork:

I’m not quite sure what you’re even saying in the opening post.
There’s a ton of bad spelling, punctuation, fragmented sentences etc, that is not consistent with how your posts in the past read.
    Did you type this inebriated?

I first read it as "Guys my family doggone suffered from a fire..."

Atleast that's how I read it in my mind like with a hillbilly voice.

I just reread his first post and decipherEd — it’s not ‘family gone’ - I think it was autocorrected and meant to be family room.. his family room suffered an electrical fire from possibly bad connections at the plugs? Maybe he drank his sorrows away after losing tmnt to the fire, this would explain the odd grammar and such

    #79 3 years ago

    Do you still need help?

    #80 3 years ago

For the record, my family had a small kitchen fire on Feb. 23 of this year. No one injured and damages mostly restricted to the stovetop area. The insurance company paid to empty all of our belongings and smoke remediate everything. While renovations are pending all of our belongs were stored safely with the remediation company unless we requested them priority cleaned and returned for use. In addition they provided us with lodging and some food allowance.

So if no one was hurt in the fire and the home was insured, things should be alright eventually.

After the COVID thread, I believe OP said he disappeared because he was on a ventilator for 3 months.

I certainly hope that isnt true, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. If all this stuff is true though he's had a rough life here lately.

Just over 3 yrs ago we lost our daughter...worst this that can ever happen to a parent, the following year lost my dad, the next yr lost another daughter. March of this yr my wife and I got COVID And recovered, then work furloughs and layoffs. We have not been back to the office since March. Now this last June my wife was Diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer which has spread to pelvis. Luckily we still have still medical insurance and have put $ away for just such a reason. We were to retire next yr, but obliviously that’s on hold. Have not mentioned a word of this here as this is a pinball forum and we love pinball. We have great friends and family Who are always willing to help thou would never think of asking anyone for $. Not really sure why I’m posting this now...2020 has been a bitch for a lot of people, but we will preserve.

Sorry to hear about all of this. I hope things get better for you guys soon.

    #91 3 years ago

Pretty good scam if you ask me.

Has he ever asked for financial help, or linked a go fund me?

If so, here’s the con. Sign up to as many online “hobbies” “enthusiasts” “collectors“ forums as possible. Mustang club, pinball forum, badminton enthusiasts, pastel painters united... everything you can. Log in once an a while posting random crap, so that people begging to notice you. Once you get the “one of us” Feeling from the group, you suddenly have some hardship or issue that you have to ask your new found “friends” to help you with. (A couple bucks here or there to help out a fellow in head is nothing)

If this guy isn’t asking for money, then he’s the most unlucky guy I’ve ever met.

I didn’t see your post as I was typing my previous post.

Sorry for your loss and difficulties. It’s ok to ask for support from friends, you never know where good advice comes from. But asking money from strangers gets weird.

    #93 3 years ago

Friends have been great helping with meals. Not that we can’t make our own, but is difficult with all the surgeries and treatments. Will sell pins when it get bad enough. Am sure we all have problems and the virus has not made anything easier. Sorry for taking over this thread.

Sometimes it’s nice to vent. I started a Medical Support thread awhile ago. It helps talking about this stuff. Nobody is asking for handouts either. I just wanted a place where people could discuss what they are going through. Helps a lot pre surgery and other avenues unknown.

He posted on here about a year or so ago. It was the funniest thing I’ve read on this site. He made fun of his crazy wife and in laws. Seriously, the guy wrote like a seasoned stand up comic. I wish I could remember his Pinside name, sorry.
