Been there... had issues.

I highly recommend you get use to using some kind of source code control system like SVN or GIT and store the data on something like a NAS or even in the cloud.

I learned my lesson about 1.5yrs ago when I got a crypto ransomware on my main developer box. I refused to pay the ransom.

Now I backup my source and PCB designs using SVN running on my NAS box. Then a further backup by pushing that SVN database to a cloud backup solution.

I haven't had to pull from the backup/svn yet... but it is truly peace of mind.

Its much cheaper to send you kits... than a fixed non-ghosted PF.

For the record .... I got ZERO protection kits for my STLE... consider yourself lucky... or unlucky depending how look at it.

I don't come in regularly... but do when the topic exceeds 100ish posts. That way I see the progress is a bing-watchy-manner.
