The staple in the last picture concerns me. Might last a while or forever but it could also short across those 2 wires seeing how much it is already clamping down on them. You could loosen the staple a bit and zip tie the wires to it.

LOL give them a couple more hours to get started. They do have day jobs and it's probably close to quitting time now.

So my phone tells me the Chinese says "white rosin" so you could use it on your violin strings Maybe it is meant to be thinned with alcohol and you can use it as solder flux. The packaging looks like it was meant to be solid and not a ready to use liquid/gel flux.
